Female solo singers, recommendations?

I realized lately that my music folder is full of Japanese, mostly male, rock bands, and I think it needs a nice feminine touch.

Artists that I listen to:
Ayumi Hamasaki.
Akino Arai.
Ami Suzuki.
Anna Tsuchiya.
AZU.
Hitomi Shimatani.
Kana.
Koda Kumi.
Leah Dizon.
Nana Kitade.
Nana Mizuki.
Nanase Hoshii.
OLIVIA.
Utada Hikaru.

I'm not really fond of singers like Namie Amuro or Ai Otsuka so anything other than those would be greatly appreciated.

I reccomend BoA - I've started at OUTGROW and went on chronologically from there but her older works are very well liked.

ayaka - she's got a powerful voice and some of her songs really are great like CLAP & LOVE

BONNIE PINK - she has some amazing songs and check out Thinking Out Loud for some of them; other songs I like are "Mint" and "Thinking Of You"

hitomi - I've recently got into her music and my current fav by her is "GO MY WAY"

I'll think of some more soon but maybe you'll like some of these

I say you should give Fictionjunction YUUKA a try. =) I think YUUKA has such pretty vocals <3 Her music is traditional, but not the boring kind. But if you like traditional, then she's the one for you <3

Here's a couple of pics:

Yuuka is the one in the pretty black dress.

Aiko Kayo or Satomi Takasugi.

Aiko's pretty idol/poppy, and Satomi's got a traditional/Japanesey sound.

Shiina Ringo and Yaida Hitomi are both great in my opinion. They both have very rocker-esque voices that are the most unique I've heard in awhile. MISIA is also fantastic, but she's more a ballad (and occasionally R&B) singer with the voice of an angel.

have you heard alone again from Yuna's upcoming 2nd album WISH ? it sounds fantastic for a non single track , riozz & it's served as the main promotional track for WISH .

I didn't hear her debut album HEART but I read that only the A sides are good while the rest of the album's not on par as the singles that she has released .

Hopefully WISH will be even better than HEART .

You can never go wrong with these fantastic singers:

hitomi - Rock, pop, ballads, electro, techno. You name it. She sings anything and she seriously rocks.

Shoko Nakagawa - Pop, rock, ballads, cute! She's freaking adorable and a total dork.

BoA - Pop, ballads, urban, dance. Who doesn't like BoA? Her voice is so strong and powerful. I prefer her Korean songs.

ayaka - Pop, rock, ballads. Newcomer with an incredible voice.

aiko - Pop, rock. Her music is so fun to listen to.

Kaela Kimura - Pop, rock. Like aiko, her music is insanely fun and catchy.

Kou Shibasaki - Pop, ballads and other unique style. She's an actress also. Wonderful vocals.

ERIKA - Rock, electro. She's an actress, but her music is SO good.

Tommy heavenly6 - Rock. She's incredible. A must, along with her band the brilliant green.

Yifei - Pop, ballads. She's Chinese, but she has an incredible Japanese album that you must try. Her voice is so sweet.

Hayami Kishimoto - Pop, up-beat, dance, ballads. Her music is really fun!

Also, I see Erika on your sig. I guess you already listen to Hello! Project then? If not, Maki Goto, Miki Fujimoto and Aya Matsuura are musts!

These ones are perfect, emphasis on Shoko Nakagawa and hitomi. I get this feel you'd like them. :]
