ABOUT CAPSULE
  • Nakata Yasutaka (中田ヤスタカ); co-producer, art director)
  • Koshijima Toshiko (越島稔子; vocals)
  • Formed in November 1997.
  • Debuted with "Sakura" in March 2001 on Yamaha Music.
  • Nakata created his own label contemode in 2003.

YAY! I loooove capsule I just started getting into them a few weeks ago - their music is so amazingly catchy <3 My fave songs are FRUiTS CLIPPER, super speeder Judy Jedy, and Catch my breath xD

Haha, I've been into them since a while back, but I only really listened to their albums like last week. Nakata has a really great style, truly unique. I'm glad he's gaining popularity <3

When you listen to their albums in order, the style evolves.
The first album, "Haikara Girl" was different from the others~
But I love each and every one of them~!
The only one I'm missing is "Sugarless GiRL"

A lot of their songs seem they would fit in the game series, "Katamari Damacy".

"FLASH BACK" only had a couple of good songs, and there wasn't enough Toshiko. =(

"FRUITS CLiPPER" is their best <3

I agree.. "FLASH BACK" wasn't very good.

Kaori~, FRUITS CLiPPER and capsule rmx are my favorites too~
I think you'll like capsule better after those albums!

capsule is GOD. no questions asked. they're consistently good. nakata has a bit of the benny benassi sound but mixes it well with shibuya-kei and a more japanese pop sound to make it original. he even managed to make me like a girl group (Perfume) so he's clearly talented lol

I've never really liked capsule that much, but I am definitely a fan of Nakata Yasutaka's work with other artists. MEG, Suzuki Ami and Perfume all have benefited so much from him!

Agreed. I also thought Lounge Designers Killer had some good songs, too. And Sugarless GiRL is also awesome.

Nakata himself is pretty good-looking. He's pretty handsome, and Toshiko is just cute.

That's exactly what I thought. The developers of the Katamari series should seriously consider adding some of capsule's songs to their game soundtracks.
