Chinese Rock?

Okay, I've been listening to Japanese rock for quite some time and I was curious to know if anyone likes/listens to Chinese rock. Its unfortunate that I don't know it at all so I don't know any good bands?

So what do you guys and ladies think of Chinese rock? Any suggestions for a newbie?

I happen to know a band called 'Chock Ma' from the underground indies HK rock scene, I think... I haven't listened to them before but I know a few friends who attend their gigs regularly~ They're pretty popular I think.

I don't listen to chinese rock but I can recommend some from what I have read in the news & net :

- Mayday
- David Tao
- F.I.R
- Power Station
- Beyond

I don't know if Kenji Wu & Wang Lee Hom are considered rock but you can give them a shot

F.I.R. is the only ''rock'' group I can listen to Like others said, Mayday are quite popular and the first word that comes to my mind would be '' the Beatles''.

And Wang Leehom's style is noooot rock

I recommend 信乐团 SHIN and F.I.R. Some of 余文樂 Shawn Yue's music has a rock feel to it, although he seems to be ballad-intensive.

definitely Beyond. They were legend and their songs were very good (when the lead was still alive) They were popular in Japan before...in the 80s or 90s? I used to listen to their songs alot when I was little..(my parents played them alot) and their lyrics were very good and meaningful....comparing them and other older songs to canto pop nowadays...sigh...canto pop nowadays are not worth me listening to except for very very few.
