Are you a true Asian music lover?

Do you know the difference if you were given a song of someone you don't know and you just listen to the song, can you tell if it's korean, japanese, or chinese?

Edit: Ah, forgot the poll, can some1 add these 4 choices?
1.Yes! so easy for me
2.Maybe~
3.No! it's too hard
4.How do you even tell? @_@

Yes. Chinese sounds more complex and Korean has this weird sound to it.

At least I think so. I may not recognise Japanese and Korean sometimes though.

Without a doubt. After how much I've heard of them all, it would be hard not to be able to tell the difference. Although, like austin said, it can be pretty difficult differentiating between Japanese and Korean sometimes.

Chinese, Korean and Japanese are really different language. It's easy for me to know the difference. I'm Chinese and even though I'm not Mandarin or Cantonese, I grew up hearing these two languages so I can tell which is which (even though I can't talk these languages... lol). And Korean and Japanese are just too different from one and another.

I can distinguish between all three languages, provided I'm given more than a three-second clip of a song.

I can distinguish most asian languages. Thai + laos + cambodian though are too hard for me . Vietnamese is easy! Japanese + Korean are so different too.

Oh yeah that's easy for me. They all have a very distinct sound. I start to get lost with the different types of Chinese though (like Mandarin and Cantonese)...and Cambodian.

I can detect Japanese from a mile away. IMO it and Korean sound NOTHING alike. (I honestly don't understand where that notion comes from?)

Sometimes I can't detect between Korean and Chinese though. I don't study either one and they both sound very similar with tones and fairly euphonic. I think Korean sounds a little harder, but in it the end it would be a lucky guess if I didn't know the artist.

The writing systems are really easy to tell apart though.

We're not even going to touch south-east Asian languages.

Well, I find it's absurdly easy to tell japanese apart from any other language XD

But I hardly listen to korean or chinese music at all, so I don't even know if I'd be able to identify them or not... I should test that sometime XD

#1. I can tell Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Thai apart very easily when listening to songs. I haven't listened enough to non-Japanese music to get used to it though because it still sounds odd to my ears.

Chinese, Korean and Japanese I can distinguish pretty easily, but cantonese and mandarin I haven't worked on yet allthough I can hear the difference if pointed out. I hear they're different languages, but I haven't listened to it enough to recognise it by heart.
