Well, me being a die-hard progressive rock fan, I wouldn't be worth a crap if I didn't know of them. Their album Days of Future Passed is widely considered to be the first progressive rock album ever recorded. The Moody Blues is great. If you like them I should also suggest Gentle Giant and Yes. Two other great bands of a similar style. Gentle Giant really has some interesting harmonies in their music.

"Days of Future Passed" is certainly a masterpiece and has always been one of my favourite albums. But it has long been my question what the title exactly means. Does it mean "Days of future and days passed" or something different?

I have their singles collection (got it during my whole prog-rock obsession), but I never really cared for them. They never really did anything for me. I gravitated more to even lesser known prog-rock bands like Camel and The Strawbs.
