TOMOMI KAHALA!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1W4bconAPI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHVw9_1LVoo
some examples.

Another great 80's singer is Akina Nakamori. Here is a video of a bunch of great singers from the 80's/90's too.

All of these were produced by Tetsuya Komuro, which is a good place to start cause he was the king back then

I Can't recommend Akina Nakamori enough, she's SO good, better than Seiko even imo. There's also Noriko Sakai, Yoko Nagayama (though it's hard to find her older pop stuff). Also I'd like to recommend Miyuki Nakajima, she started back in the 70's, and has had a number 1 hit in every decade since, definitely worth checking out ^^.

There's also Onyanko Club, which i suppose is the precursor to the kind of big idol groups we have now, such as Morning Musume or AKB48.

Also, for something a little different... Mari Hamada and Show Ya... awesome 80's female jrock. Not to mention X Japan... greatest rock band of all time ^^

I recommend Namie Amuro's Dance Tracks Vol. 1! It is so 90s it's not even funny. And you can have so much fun dancing to the whole album

Umm you can find everything at KMC. http://jpmp3.com/index.php?sid=1f064...c31dcf59dcb3d3

Just make sure you search in their name in Japanese characters, which can be found with a google search.
