A lot of people say that she had plastic surgery to get her eyes widened (apparently a lot of Japanese pop stars get their eyes widened coz it's popular or cool or something like that ). I'm not sure if these rumours are true but i don't care anyways coz i would have loved her and her music even if she hadn't had surgery so it doesn't matter to me.

I heard that a lot of Japanese people in general *mainly girls... hopefully lol* get it done so they can wear eye make up, and wear it good? Even still, that sounds a tad fishy

Jerms is correct, asians get this surgery to look more "awake." The surgery is called blepharoplasty. All they do is remove excess fat from the eye sockets and make a permanent fold in them to make them wider. It's a quick and easy procedure. There's always constant speculation on what cosmetic surgery she's had done and what she hasn't, but if she has had any, I believe that this is the only type. But make-up always has a huge effect on what you look like as well. If you've seen the backstage/rehearsal shots off the stadium and arena tours, you'll notice that there is quite a difference between her eyes with and without make-up.

I don't believe she had anything done to her cheeks, people's hair styles dominate what shape and size their face is going to be. You'll notice with her different hair cuts, the shape and size of her face varies.

Offtopic but BoA has done WAY more surgeries than Ayu, including lip-suction, growth hormone(to make her taller), sharpening of her chins and maybe the nose and eyes. I'm quite sure these are not rumours because almost 100% Korean stars has some sort of plastic surgery, transforming some of them from even ugly to what they are today. Although I think BoA was always quite pretty...she just did those to 'perfect' everything.
