Curious Ayu-fans findings ^^??

Well, we all know that around the world there are a lot of Ayu-fans or people who know her... but it's difficult to find people if it's not in forums... I always talk about Ayu as the other person doesn't know her... but I've been surprised a couple of times meeting people who know her ^^

For example:

* On of my best friends and I were in the beach a couple of weeks ago, relaxing, etc... we were looking at nothing special but my friend saw sth really interesting.... a 30-40 year old men with a Tatoo in his arm of the A logo and the face of Ayu O.O we had no words XDD!! We asked this men if he was really an Ayu fan, and yes, and since a long time!! Who knows maybe he visits this forum!!

* Some months ago, February, I visited my university were I'll start this september to attend a talk about my career. While waiting I girl came next to me, she was also waiting for the same, she stared at my "A" necklace and said: Hey, you are fan of Ayumi, right? my reaction: O___o you know heeeer??!!?? Yeah... she is a j-music fan, not an Ayu fan,b ut she knows her... it was really strange but the career I'll study is "Asian Studies" so probably I'l meet some more in september ^^

* The last situation ^ happened also one year ago. I was studing english for 6 weeks in Bournemouth (south coast of UK) and of course there were students from all over the world, and in one class a gilr from HK was next to me, she also saw my necklace and asked me for Ayu, she said me she was very famous lately in HK ^^

so, I wonder if you all have simmilar situations to explain ^^ I have to say that to wear an Ayu necklace ALWAYS, may bring me more of this situations XDD

I guess you're right, wearing this necklace makes you meet more Ayu fans ! I only met a boy two years ago, who was really fond of Japan and who knew Ayu, without being a real fan... I've nothing more to tell you, the only place I met people knowing her is Paris' "china town", so...

During an italian comic's convention I've seen a girl with a Ayu's pin on her backpack.

It was the Lovppears cover, I guess I didn't see it clearly ç_ç

it's the only Ayu-fan finding for me.

I was waiting outside my college for my mom one night, and there were two girls standing like 40 feet away from me, and suddenly one of their phones started ringing or something... And her ringtone was Mirror(cle World).

one girl at my school she realy love dearest (beacuse of Inuyasha) but she did not konw who it was singing, and i told her who it was and she google ayu and found more songs and now shes a big ayu fan

I turne dmy best friend into a (sort of) Ayu fan and inot a (sort of) Kuu fan. One is a massive Hikki fan and thinks Kuu is a prostitute and Ayu looks like a chipmunk.

No, I've never really tried anything likely.. well, at the anime-con I went to this summer, off course a lot of people knew her, but well.. XD

Well, actually, I have friends that like Ayumi, Koda, Hikki, Namie.... even before I met them.I never met an ayufan casually u_u.

In the other hand, I have seen a lot of influence of Ayu: cosplays in manga convention, like Ladies Night PV, STEP you~Ladies Night performance at CDL07-08... People singing her songs in the karaoke (I saw two boys singing Mirrorcle World), dancing contests (A group danced talkin' 2 myself so good), tons of posters and cd's (a lot of bootlegs too I have to say) and even in the Discotaku.

Discotaku it's a disco that plays jpop (and sometimes cpop and kpop), so you can find people dancing Taboo (kuu) or Sparkle and so

I wear my 'A' necklace a lot, but I don't meet anyone that likes Ayu... XD

I only know 3 people in my city that like her, 2 I never met face to face (but we talk online). And the other he was in my japanese class last year.

Too bad for me. Because I've never met the real Ayu fans yet. My friend who I was start know her last year became one of an Ayu fans when I introduced Ayu to her. But she's still very newbie. And I think, my friend is not really get into Ayu like I did. She just like Ayu's fashion style and some of the songs.

where do you guys get those necklaces?! i've been searching for years. >.<

nobody's actually recognized any of my Ayu gear (posters in my dorm room, 10th Anniversary tote bag, tshirt, etc), but i have converted a few people to her amazingness.

oof~ i generally knew someone in the internet and somehow when we got close we went out for a drink... i asked to see his phone and found some ayu songs in it~ so uh~

and once, one of my friends were talking about plastic surgery in her 5 minutes speech and she put ayu's picture on it~

i only really had one incident like that. i was in the bank and i heard someones phone start ring and I knew i recodnised the tune. it wasnt until i got home that I realised it was No way to say

I didn't get my A necklace anywhere... I mean... my mum went to a jewelry with the cover of my "A COMPLETE CLIP BOX" so thet they could copy the A logo exactly ^^ It was my best Xmas present of all *-*!!!

your "ayu fan meetings" are really interesting, especially you who listen ayu's melodies on other's mobiles phones xddd

Yay!! When I was in bali last week, in the little island of Nusa Lembongan, in the super little guest-house i was..there were an indonesian guest wearing an Ayu t-shirt made with a PIC took by a ViVi shooting!! I talked with the girl (even she was veeeery shy) and told me she bought teh ayu shirt in YoJyakarta

My best friend is an Ayu-fan, and has been since she was just a kid. She's the one who got me started on Ayu's music a year ago.

I first found out who she was in art class, which me and my BFF had together then. We had an assignment to draw a scaled picture by gridding a smaller version and then expanding it by using a grid....well, anyway, she had brought in this picture of some Japanese girl, and I was like, "Who's that?" And well, it was Ayu.

Back then I thought it was a weird choice, since the rest of the class was drawing self-portraits or pictures of pets or whatever, but I think it was cool. Now I'd like to try that with an Ayu pic too. D: I just don't have the materials (a.k.a. the large art paper)

Not exactly an exciting fan-sighting, since she's my friend and I would've spotted her fandom eventually (xD) and I wasn't a fan back then...but that was my first sighting.
