The Sunday Drivers is an spanish band that is really good.
They sing in english, and their style is similar to The Beatles, Oasis, Billie Preston.. They're indie.
Here is their bio, from their official website (is in english too):
Spoiler:
The Sunday Drivers was formed in Toledo at the end of 1999.
In the beginning we were four: Carlos (drums), Jero (vocals, guitar), Miguel (bass) and Fausto (guitar).
We recorded two demos: imaginatively entitled "[ demo ]" (December 2000) and "02" (December 2001) that did pretty much nothing. We played few gigs and there were long breaks.
In January 2002, we were invited by the indy music website popmadrid.com to play in a party in the Moby **** club, in Madrid. After seeing us in that concert, Rock Indiana, our first record label, signed us, and with them we recorded our debut album, entitled "The Sunday Drivers". The album went on sale in July 2002: it has eleven songs, some that already existed on the demos, recorded in Estudios Brazil in Rivas-Vaciamadrid (Spain) in the month of April of that year with Javi Ortiz engineering and producing. Later (February 2003), the single "Time Time Time" was taken from the album.
For the recording of the keyboard parts that appeared on "The Sunday Drivers" we asked for Julián to collaborate and from that moment, unfortunately, he stayed for good.
From the album's release, we started playing more often; we played in a number of festivals: Espárrago, Lemon Pop, Supersónico, Autumn Almanac, Summer in the City, etc. and in many cities. Without a doubt, the first half of 2003 was very important for the group: first place in a competition for young artists in Castilla-La Mancha region, well known for its cheese and fine wines. We weren't spring chickens anymore nor considered ourselves artists, so we still wonder about that one. Third prize in the "Villa de Bilbao" contest, we supported The Jeevas and Arlo on their respective Spanish tours... in total a hundred gigs in a year and a half that reached its peak at FIB 2003.
After 2003 we started to think about the recording of the new album. Mushroom Pillow, our current label, appeared, and with them we began the recording of the second album, "Little Heart Attacks", released in June 2004.
The album was the result of a long process: several months of pre-production work and several more in the studio. "Little Heart Attacks" was recorded, mixed and produced by JM Rosillo in his studio in Madrid, (Supersonic Lounge) during March and April. For the recording, he (we) had the help of Ángel Medina. The songs were later mastered by Juan Hidalgo.
The collaboration with Lyndon Parish, a Welsh friend and musician should be mentioned. He had the job of orchestral and vocal arrangements, as well as sleeping on the studio floor for a night or two. Lyndon, who started as the arranger for the album is now another member of the group. At this pace, by the fifth album we'll be at least eight in the band.
In the summer of 2004 we began the tour for the presentation of the disc. We played in some festivals (Ebrovisión, Faraday, Fra de Alaquás, Medinasonora, F.M. Pop... and we returned to FIB), as well as all around Spain.
The tour was extended until the Autumn of 2005: more festivals: B-Side Festival, Metrorock, Sonorama, Contempopranea, Pulpop... and more cities. A whole year spent playing live.
Of all the concerts, the Festival Transmusicales de Rennes (France) has a special place in our hearts as it was our first time, as a group, outside Spain. We also remember with great fondness the sold-out concert we played in Arena in Madrid and we will never forget the experience of being selected by Wilco to support them on their Spanish tour.
On the 26th of April 2005, the French company naïve released "Little Heart Attacks" in France and already it is being released in other European countries: Holland, Greece, Luxembourg, Belgium… The reception of the album in France has been fantastic, and we played in various top level festivals (Vieilles Charrues, Rock en Seine, Artrock, Les Mediterranées, Musilac Aix-les-Bains, JDM Festival...), as well as the country's #1 radio and TV music programs. Finally, last October we completed a 3-week "Tour de France".
Apart from this, we have a new project that we are currently working on: the new album.
It is curious, but they have more success outside Spain than within xD
They went to France a lot of times, and even released a special version of one of their álbums.
Here in Spain you can't hear them on the radio (I supposs that their style isn't what radios are searching), but they take part in a lot of festivals and concerts.
Here, photos of them:

Spoiler:
Quote:
It Was You Who Closed The Story
I've been out so many nights
But I've been in so many days
I don't regret
I've been out so many times
And he came in so many ways
I can't forget
That was you who closed the story
And it's me who's feeling sorry
I've cried out so many times
You only smile from time to time
I hate your face
Thought you were so satisfied
And now I guess it was a lie
I can't explain
Now it's me who's feeling sorry
And was you who closed the story
I guess that I could tell the world
How cruel you are
And shout out "I don't love you"
But it's not worth saying
That I'm still waiting
To hear from you
I love you
Quote:
Little Heart Attacks
Got to find another way out
Another meaning in the little things
Cos in your head everything is crucial,
But everything was crucial before you came
Got to find another way out
Another meaning in the little things
Cos in your head everything is crucial,
But everything was crucial before you came
You say you're having little heart attacks
If any face, if any gesture,
If any one can make you feel a wretch
Go keep on fighting everything you're fighting
Though everyone you're fighting will always be your foe
You say you're having little heart attacks
You say you're having little heart attacks
You know it's meaningless,
You're not so shallow,
Look at me:
I'm living with the leftovers you left for me
If you don't mind I'll find the way out
I know the meaning in the little things
Cos in my head everything is trivial
Everything is trivial since the day you came
You say you're having little heart attacks
You say you're having little heart attacks
But know it's meaningless,
You're not so shallow,
Look at me:
I'm living with the leftovers you left for me
Got to find a reason, a reason to forget,
Just my bloody luck that you have bust your head
Why the hell I'm singing whatever that I sing,
You need to find a way out, you can go through me
Got to find a reason, a reason to forget,
Just my bloody luck that you have bust your head
Why the hell I'm singing whatever that I sing,
You need to find a reason and the reason's me
Na nanana na ...
Quote:
Paranoid
I watched a monkey swimming in my bed like a bird
I watched a donkey flying at my head like the monkey
I felt a liquid running down my throat like a toad
I felt a smell, a taste of marmalade, when I saw your face
I’m becoming paranoid with you gone
If I could go back in time just to find
One more lie to buy some time
I saw a baby screaming in a car and run so far
I lost my shoes, found them in a pool with the baby
I took the car, drove into a bend and bent in bed
I watched myself falling from a cliff when I heard you breathe
Quote:
Specially (Today)
listen to a velvet’s song
scarfs and pills to heal your throat
all your years all my jokes
and all the cigarettes we smoked
but i don’t know why
specially today i feel nobody cares for me
i feel i’m the victim in my victories
what’s the truth?
is just a lie
just a lie that’s always on your side
and never
never is on mine
you make no noise when you walk
you eat me when i feel alone
for all the tiny things i bought
bigger recompense you brought
but i don’t know why
specially today i feel no one is listening
i feel i’m defeated but nobody wins
what’s the truth?
is just a lie
just a lie that’s always on your side
and never
never is on mine
and i don’t know why
Quote:
Passing You By
you’re singing my material girl
while i’m just trying to break you heart
but it is so hard
it is so hard
i told you that i liked your hands
just to cause you little heart attacks
but it is so hard
it is so hard
i’m not doing fine
passing you by
to pass you by i need to see you
i need to see you
remember when you cut your hair
i am the one to notice it first
don’t forget it
don’t forget it
i wonder what you think of me
when you see me in a magazine
i see you smiling
see you smiling
i’m not doing fine
passing you by
to pass you by i need to see you
i need to see you

Wow, I really like them! This is the style of music I really like, I'm going to download all their stuff! Thanks Do they sing in Spanish too, or just English? I met a girl from Toledo earlier this year...
So happy you made a thread for them!! I'm a big fan of them too!! I saw them in concert this June and they were amazing live!! One of the best lives I've ever heard really. And also they were charming on stage. Jero, the singer, even responded to one of my shouts xDD
I hope people here at AHS gives them a try cause they are worth listening! My favorite songs are "Paranoid" and "She".
In my opinion they are one of the best groups of Spain nowadays
