GIRL NEXT DOOR is a Japanese J-pop trio that debuted in 2008 on the Avex Trax label. The band consists of vocalist Chisa, guitarist Yuji Inoue and Daisuke Suzuki on keyboard.
Girl Next Door was formed in March, and subsequently made their official debut in September 2008. Originally a member of Ma-Kiss, Chisa was presented many times in front of Max Matsuura (founder of Avex) through Avex Artist Academy Show Case. After many attempts by AAA staff, Chisa was finally acknowledged by Max Matsuura and was then introduced to keyboard player Suzuki and guitar player, Inoue.

Chisa was born November 16, 1985 and grew up in Hyōgo Prefecture. Her full name is Chisa Maekawa (前川千紗?).
Girl Next Door's debut single, "Gūzen no Kakuritsu" (偶然の確率?), was placed online on several sites from May 29, 2008. As of July 2008, there were two million views.

Over a period of three months from their debut, they have released three singles. On December 24, 2008, they released their self-titled debut album including songs from the three singles.
On December 22, 2008, the band's official fanclub "Next Door" opened.
The band's fifth single "Infinity" was released on June 10, 2009. It is also the theme song for the 2009 Spring tv show Atashinchi no Danshi and became their first #1 single. They also sang the OP song of the game Tales of VS using the song "Be your wings". The trio released their 6th single "Be Your Wings/Friendship/Wait for You" on August 5, 2009. On November 25, 2009, their 7th single, Orion, was released, peaking at no 8 on the Oricon charts. Shortly after, their second studio album, entitled NEXT FUTURE, was announced for release on January 20, 2010.

Known for their fresh electro-pop sound, their lavished production and high budget music videos, the charm of their members and the depth of their lyrics, GIRL NEXT DOOR has become one of the most popular groups on the industry, and are definitely worth following in upcoming releases.

Since the last thread is getting close to 500 posts, I made this one

(since there are less than 25 posts to reach 500, I think is ok to make it.)

Its my first time making an artist thread and I've spent a lot of time making it, so I hope is nice enough

Man, this group always gets the best covers. Their music isn't exactly my taste, but its pretty awesome! I love how pop-ish and happy a lot of their songs are. Ayu needs to take some notes

btw Hector I want to say that the pics that you have uploaded of the trio inclusive of the Gūzen no Kakuritsu promo pics are beautiful/pretty

my Japanese sucks but I think they're talking about a 2010 calendar which the pics are taken during Orion ?

fanclub members get a B3 size poster using pictures taken during the jacket shooting in New York. There's also a 1/20 chance that the poster will be autographed by the band. The cd/cd+dvd version will have different poster designs.

for mu-mo purchases, you will receive a two pocket clear file, same design for each.
