Congrats to Ayu for winning best selling artist - Japan at the 2005 world music awards!

They will be airing on ABC september 13th (I hope they show some clip of her on TV!)

Congrats to Ayu I wish I could see her on american tv though and her being in america. I mean for her to live here and spread her career even more b/c I don't have the money to buy $30 worth of an album but I know if she came here too maybe ppl would buy her albums instead of just dl'ing them.

I'm sorry to disappoint you all but Ayu won the japanese award in the past for a few times already and i have watched all of them ----and no, she never appeared nor she was ever mentioned. I think they only listed the people from other countries. Only the AMerican singers participated........I don't think i'll be watching it considering Ayu won't be there.

Are you sure? There is a file of Ayumi accepting the World Music Award in 2001 (she looked completely stoned out in the clip, though) wearing a cowboy hat (Unite! era). I think it depends which broadcast it is, depending on the country.

I am SO watching this. I remember when Hikki won in... 2001? and they showed a clip of her saying thanks to her fans and people who bought her CDs in English! They may do the same thing for Ayu.. but in Japanese of course. Or they may cut the video because "it's not in English so it dosen't interest people"

...omg~ Ayu's total single sales will surpass one million this year, no? And her new album will most likely boost her CD sales to two million.. omg. O_O Ayu really is a selling powerhouse XD I never thought about the combined CD sales, really.
