Do you get the same feelings?

[This'll probably turn out to be a stupid post but oh well]

Do you get the same feelings when listening to ayu's music now.

I remember when i first heard RAINBOW and felt all tingley and happy
When i first heard HEAVEN and got teary eyes
When i first heard the full version of Bold&Delicious and laughed my ass off

With ayu's most recent songs they seem all the same to everything else, like any other song.

Example, BLUE BIRD the song seemed bland to me so i listened to it with no emotion, the only recent song to make me happy was the Ladies Night Remix

So is it just me, or is her music not as emotional anymore

^^no. BLUE BIRD and beutiful fighters make me feel happy. especially BLUE BIRD, it makes me feel just like how they act in the PV...all happy and fun.

I'm sure that there are lots of other people who share your opinion though. Many people talk about her new music being bland.

I don't think it's a stupid post, but it does go along the lines of "Ayumi's music is going downhill..." and we all know how that turned out...however you are not as...tenaciously negative...as the other poster...

I read somewhere that technically, music was less dynamic because as soon as it got loud, it stayed at one loudness and could only be played as "background music"- not forcing you to think about the music. And when you listen to it closely, you are disappointed and sometimes can't even listen to it any longer.

Never have that kind of feelings.

Only feelings that i have is:
RAINBOW - excited, nv get bored of the songs.
HEAVEN - nice, will get bored after listening to like 6 times.
Bold&Delicious - don't like it at all, listen once and that's all

Destiny ~Tears Of Love~ by Hitomi Shimatani is one of the most musically emotional songs i know that gives me great feelings. and i blasted it on full volume through headphones and it still had the same emotions

True true.. A volume that is too high just damages and annoys. Especially Is This Love which is absolutely painful at high volume.

All her songs are the same to me. But the extra-special ones are Rainbow, Moments, Carols, Walking Proud, HEAVEN, Born To Be... and No Way To Say. I'll say they are "powerful".

Some songs are hit and miss for me - some I feel some emotion listening to, and some I don't - it seems to be a personal preference. The past few singles I haven't had much of an emotional reponse to, but some songs that I like I still respond to, like HEAVEN. It's really down to the person - we all respond to songs in a different way - some might feel happy listening to one song, another person listening to the same song might not feel anything. Sometimes when I don't feel anything listening to one artist, I will listen to other artists for a while and take a break, then go back and usually I find that I like the artist all over again.

Well the article doesn't mean what volume you play the music at. It means what dB that the volume is recorded/mastered at- and most often it's one flat rate instead of dynamics, like in old music, that's why remastered stuff doesn't sound as riveting as the older albums.

I think this guy knows what he's talking about. He's been reviewing music for 10 years and he has top of the line equipment..

Here's the article. After reading it you can know what I'm talking about. It's very long..

No. I usually skip Ayu's songs that has been too over-looked.
Her song has gets blander & blander past the year when I listened again.
I'm not saying her new songs is bland. I mean at the first time I listen to M I'm like a n00bz injected with sugar & sweets. But after listening to her new material, that happy feeling in M has gone away, yet the new ones give the same feeling. I like Ladies night remix though.

So I usually listens to ever free, Two of us, theme of a'nation '03 or something else that people would rarely listen to. Especially lounge-ish remix.
Something that lesser-known so I can still feel the "fresh-thing", ya know?
Coz they're less discussed.

In any case, try listening at a very very loud volume or double your usual dose, and the music will still blend poorly like background music.

If I listen intently to an song, I get the same feelings as when I first heard it. For example, when I hear Fly High (my favorite Ayu song), I get that tingy happy feeling. And I'm glad to say that I still feel that way when I listen to Ayu's newer songs. During Blue Bird, I see Ayu on that little island, really happy, and I feel that way as well.
