And who was the other female 36.5 years ago who had 2 albums top the charts?

A BEST 2 -WHITE- got #1 monthly
and -BLACK- was #2 because of -WHITE-

They were #2 and #3 monthly. Mr.Children's HOME beat them out for the top spot.

For albums, I think the original "A BEST" might not have gotten monthly #1 because of "Distance".

^and it didn't help ai to get more than A BEST 2 -WHITE-'s first week total sales and almost -BLACK-'s as well.

Well the difference between those 2 albums (WHITE and Ai am BEST) is shrinking from 125k in the 1st week, to 103k for the 2nd week. I think Ai's already outsold WHITE's 3rd week if you add up the indicator totals so the difference is still shrinking between the 2.

I think Ai am BEST will outsell Ayu's albums at this point, unless Ayu keeps staying in the top 20 until...June.

it's not sarcasm. Hikki's mother was the last person who got no. 1 and no. 2 on albums. Then ayu made it into history by A BEST 2 BLACK & WHITE

Yeah, she was uberfamous.. then she married Hikki's dad.

And they divorced (getting back together afterward) like a bunch of times [and just recently too.. after Hikki divorced Kaz]

A lot of her fans were like "wtf? Why are you abandoning your music career for some guy? D:"

Is it really just to compare a dual-album release with a single album release? D:

I have to look her up and see. Anyway im happy for Ayu and hope the album still sells well. I might have to buy both versions since both of them have songs I like.

If you only want one, WHITE has the CDL, so i think you'll get more for your money with that one. Though now that the OS versions have been released you can ge them both relatively cheap.

Yes but white has alot of songs I like. While the black has a few rockish songs I like.
