ya
coz last 3 year's CDL were great imo...maybe um...06=07 not that good but still manageable

with STEP you though, i think she probably used the vocal from AT06 because her vocals, even when mixed with Peco and Princess are far too crisp and clean to be live...when considering the rest of the songs.
I dunno, since AT06's STEP you~Ladies Night was heavily edited from the original performance in the DVD version.. :\

I don't think she lipsynched for all of theme of a-nation... :\ Oh well. Whatever. It's not like she did it for the whole concert if she did do it.

Whatever.
I'm not a huge fan of Ayu's lives. But come on! To say that her time is over? Geez.

Plus, it was only the 2nd song of the show, whereas SURREAL was more towards the middle, thus sounding much worse. I dunno. Perhaps she really got into STEP you?

Even the adlibs were the same as AT06 though, so perhaps it was the same "performance" just not some vocal track..
Ayu usually lip synch for the 2nd song.
Like A MUSEUM and ARENA TOUR 2003-2004.

You're sure about that? O_o;

Maybe they were simply heavily edited in the DVD versions? O_o

I can't see how Greatful days would be lipsynched. I just watched the TV version of A MUSEUM. Seems fine really. It's as truehappiness says I think.

Dunno about Real me, I've never seen a TV version of AT03-04 (does one exist?)

The CDL03-04 was semi broadcast via CDTV.. [but I think since CDL and AT were connected that year, we only got that clip and nothing more.

They were recorded on different dates, I believe [due to hair changes and stuff.]~

DVD version was probably edited like woah. [As was Ladies Night ~AT06 version~]

i still didn't watch 07-08 (will tomorrow when it will finish download) but ayu definitly didn't lipsync on most of the songs people mentioned here, she barely does you can hear her voice is live clearly.

I'm shocked about some people comments here XD

I have to say I'm pretty sad about this. It was a good show for a CDL, in terms of entertainment value, but it's by far the worse vocal performance during a concert to date for Ayu. I don't think she hit a single correct note during Surreal. The whole show was just an absolute mess...usually the unplugged section goes really well in her tours lately, but even these songs were not good. I really hope she rests her voice before her next full out tour, because if she's going to sound like this from now on...it's not worth touring.

I think she's done much worse :\

Also, the unplugged section seemed to carry more emotions for Ayu than she'd have hoped. Perhaps she wanted to get those songs out of the way? D:

haha, the thought of her lip-syncing "theme of a-nation 03" kept flashing in my mind when she was singing STEP you. Her voice in this countdown live was very inconsistent; sometimes it would sound almost like CD-mix (STEP you), and sometimes it would sound breathless and out-of-tune (SURREAL). I wouldn't be surprised if she lip-synced though... she should have lip-synced SURREAL instead of STEP you 'cause it was seriously dreadful to listen through.

I imagine she was also aware that she sounded kinda "BLEH" and probably laughed/made faces and stuff during the performances because of it..

But the thing is, she still smiles and stuff instead of totally bumming out and ruining the performance.. Ayu has been known to perform with injuries and sickness in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me if she was ill or exhausted beyond belief :\

Some of you guys seem to believe that she performs the way she does because she believes it's "good." And because of that, you think that she sucks at lives and shouldn't be doing them because she's just damaging her reputation even further. But perhaps there's something to it. A reason maybe? I dunno if she'll ever say "Oh, I'm sorry for not singing my best", but she's sure giving it her all despite not being able to hit notes too well. I think that's enough to make up for her bad vocals. At least she's performing and not being a grouch about it. [i.e: singing badly AND performing as if she's singing badly]

Not really. I heard from tethevo that she cancelled it and they showed a direct feed from CDL instead. Something happened or w/e. :\

i was at the show on the 31st, her cdl concerts are always the best shows. i was also at last year's best of cdl, and it's a tough choice between the two of them! this year she didn't mess up on any of the lyrics though haha, that's a first! i've seen ayu 4 times now and something always goes wrong, one time her belt fell off and she had peco help her put it back on, the other times she ended up forgetting lyrics. it's cute lol.

this cdl was really great, being in the audience, it was AWESOME to see her work the entire arena. she had three stages set up, and a walkway that stretched across the entire arena floor. AND she had a crane that lifted her above my section on the arena floor, it was friggin' awesome!

THANK YOU.

Some of you in this thread should probably read this over and over and over and over..

Apparently, the lyrics in glitter were wrong for the 2nd chorus. XD

Instead of "sagashi ni yukooouu" she sang "daiji ni shite" and was kinda laughing.. XD

@Inorinouta
XD You're funny.

And yeah, I was thinking about that too. I think that this CDL was an especially important one for her, since it's her 10th Anniversary as well as a tribute the her special friend who died. If I was her, I'd want to put my all (wow, unexpected pun) into this. So, despite the vocals, I still loved this concert.
