There might not be any problem with her vocals, we might have a problem with them .

There can be better than what she gave vocally, but really it wasn't the worst or as bad as people commented here.
That's true that some people over exaggerated. I don't think her vocals were the worst of anybody. But do you really believe that her LIVE (not her studio vocals) vocals haven't gotten worse and that it's been a problem for a year to year and a half now? Honestly that should be kind of worrying to fans. Because as Ayu said in her CNN interview, if there comes a time when she is unable to sing anymore, then she has nothing. I don't want Ayu to get to that point.

I know that in some specific songs and parts ayu's voice went worse, but in a lot of parts it was good, like some TV performances she had the vocals in them were bad and some were amazing.

Let's take from all of the songs from the CDL Together When... On that one for example I really could enjoy her voice a lot, it was really good there, but there were some songs which she couldn't reach the notes and that's what made them a bit off, but still the songs were enjoyable because it wasn't that bad, but yeah I think ayu can improve the performance, I think she just need a good rest (rather than harsh things like stop singing like someone here said), after all of those busy months, however there were really exaggerated comments here and with them I don't agree. I almost didn't watch that cool CDL because I thought the the vocals would be so horibble. They are not though, I think ayu's voice just need a good rest, except for that everything's fine. It wasn't the worst vocal ever too.

It was not a debate, and i'm sorry about it. It was that we were wrong because WE thought that this live was not good.

No, it's because you thought WE were wrong because we thought this live was good, and you didn't. As you said before:

By the way, for this CDL, i just can say that I found it absolutely boring, very flat, without any good moments, maybe only the untitled one, and i begin to wonder if any of you except UHPlus and others have good EARS, because most of the show was Off notes and hard to listen and watch, even with FAN-EYEs. I will definitely not buy this DVD even if i know that it will be a lot better vocaly, cause of editing. This show doesn't get me any interest anymore. And yes, it's obvious that the Step you part is pre-recorded, i've really heard the SAME one before.
Don't act like you're the victim here. Please. You are far from it. Accusing others of not being able to hear simply because they think that the show was good/easy to watch.. :\

I can't speak for anyone else but myself here, but I didn't think anyone was wrong for not like Ayu's vocals during this performance. I thought the way some of them chose to express that particular opinion was dead wrong, but in general it's fine to think that.

I think people may have gotten worked up about this on BOTH sides, but that in general there's just a lot of hyper-sensitivity running around from people who disliked or liked how she performed: and that's what's leading to a lot of this mess. If people would be more careful with how they worded things, I don't think there'd be HALF as many arguments as there are on this board... :/

I repeat myself again, but i've said that i wrote my first post mostly because i didn't agree with you and others who couldn't stop hardly contradict the one who thought this live was bad. I'm not here to create conflicts or whatever, i agree that maybe i shoud not have written the ears thing, but it was it was so obvious for me that the people that have said that this CDL was vocally AMAZING, and there were a lot of them, had ears problems.

You didn't say those kinda things, and you saw most of the vocal problems in your first post, so i was sort of weird that you were supporting ONLY the one that Thought this Live was vocally wonderful.

When did I ever say it was vocally wonderful? I think you misunderstand my arguments. The vocals were very mediocre, but so what? That didn't lower energy or performance level for me, as well as for other people.

I believe there were also others who believed Ayu had done a good job with this CDL DESPITE her vocals, but they got overshadowed by those of you who decided it was trash. I don't think I'm trying to force you to change your opinion, just stating that you are singling me out as someone who liked the CDL, and not collectively including everyone who did enjoy it to some extent.

I'll just watch it when I download all the parts of the ISO of GUILTY DVD. I'm very curious about it but I have to wait more, lol.

That's how I felt, there were several times where I thought "wow ayu, watch your vocals", but the energy she brings to the stage, for the high tempo songs or deep ballads, just overshadows any flaws she might have.

And this is the tv version, it's a live transmission, the whole technical setting is very difficult in trying to get her vocals out the way they are supposed to. I'm not saying that her mediocre vocals can be blamed solely on that, but it has something to do with it. At times, her mic was too low, sometimes too loud. It's live.

In the end, this came out as the best CDL yet for me, great stage, great tracklist, high energy, cool costumes. I can't wait for the dvd where they'll hopefully use that spidercam you could see fly around

And that black suit woman with huge balloons.. OMG. I didn't know what to think. That was so odd

So you don't see my point. By the way, it's 3 am in France, so i begin to be tired, i'm going to bed. Sorry if i hurt someone with the ears problem thing, i didn't mean to. I was just really disapointed with this CDL, and annoyed about our bad opinions being so rejected.

So Goodnight or Goodday, don't know. See Ya.

They are not being rejected, as they are valid opinions, it's just that people are allowed to have opinions about your opinions as well.

I'm only to "Together When..." right now, so I don't know about other lip syncs, if any exist, but, if you have the song from GUILTY on your HDD, at point [2:31/2:32] (that's 2 minutes, 32 or 31 seconds), there is a distinct part where a guitar goes off for just a simple second, and if you then watch the TV-version CDL performance (because that's the one I downloaded from a torrent), the exact same thing happens at the exact same time. But, I know this was mentioned up above in the thread somewhere but only a very small bit - she could just be creating her own vocal track to the album's "Together When", you know. Same thing goes for any of the other claims of lip syncs. But anyway, even if she did lip sync some of her songs, I give her credit. As someone else has mentioned, she's been known to go out and perform when completely exhausted and even when ill, so I think she reserves the right to lip sync a few songs here and there. Anyway, just my $.02.

The little guitar thingie where it's like "DOOT DOOT" really quickly?

Doesn't Yocchan play it? If this were a TV performance like for MS or HEYx3, it'd be understandable, but every instrument heard that can be made is live at her concerts..

i think her vocal was quite bad in some of the performances~but she really sang very good in Together when...~but i can understand it since its probably due to over exhaustion~anyway i didnt place my expectation that high though...since its just a CDL concert

Anyway her power n energy were still there as usual that brought the whole audience real high...and i really enjoyed watching this concert!!

And ladies night is my favourite part!!!The girls n ayu that were kinda like competing dancing with the group of guys on the middle stage just infront of them..very fun to watch...And that lucky gal that got the handkerchief from our dear ayu!!urayamashiinaa~~!

and lastly, the part when she sang with peco n princess infront of both of the guitarists after SURREAL performance was so damn funny...and the way they danced too

Ah I see. Yeah that "DOOT DOOT" (haha, good way of putting it)
Anyways, yikes - I seemed to have skipped over a large portion of the thread with lots of arguments, or maybe just one big one, haha. I was under the impression we were still on "ahh lip sync?@! OH MY GOD NO WAI!". It took me awhile to actually download and then be able to watch the performance. Anyways, it's still paused on Together When, so, time to go watch some more before heading off to bed.

P.S: For whatever it counts - I like this performance. Especially the entire stage setup, I think that was pretty cool. But, maybe I just like this performance because I want to go see her live myself. If there was anything poor in the performance in my opinion, I would definitely have to go with the EXTREMELY UNBEARABLE cheesiness of some of the dances (especially that "fated" part where the guy stops because the music slows, and then the music starts back up and he moves rapidly all over and shizz haha I actually laughed at that - I know, I suck, but I couldn't help it. It was too cheesy and lame.) But, really, there's usually some cheesy backstreet boys dances in the performances, so it's not really new. Ayu's skirt (schoolgirl uniform?) was so cute - much cuter than the pictures led me to believe, especially when she shook her hips back and forth.

yes. As much as I love this cdl, I also didn't think her vocals were good if you compare to her preview concerts. (well maybe except for best of cdl) Everyone is entitled to their opinions and it is definitely not wrong to say Ayu's vocals were bad...but the wordings that some of the users here used, that showed their dislike towards the concert and especially her vocals weren't that good and bit too harsh and exagerated. I went to other ayu forums and honestly majority of the ppl didn't like her vocals and thought they were bad too just like here but they were much better putting their opinions into words unlike here where some ppl can say pretty harsh things.

Ugh, this thread seriously irritates me and things have been blown way out of proportion. Things wouldn't have gotten so bad if people learned to control what they say (or in this case write) and thought twice before posting.

hmm, so your theory might explain why namie amuro can sing and dance live at the same time so well she pre-records according to your theory.

Yeah, it happens to creepy fanboys, no matter who the artist is

maybe ^_^ but we all know the truth don't we?

if it's live, it will sound live...

if it's not, it will not...

Yeah, when it sounds too perfect, it's most likely that it was pre-recorded then
