That news really sadden, and it is also a very difficult position to be in, since I'm partially deaf myself. I really hope Ayu will take a break since she worked really hard in 2007, I am positive that she has a great support team behind her.

yes . . I've seen her fall but not directly. . you can find the ayumi hamasaki special interview 2004/4/12 NTV in some of the older thread
may be the deafness is because of the fall

Ayu fell in 2001, but was her leg that was damaged, not her head. [This was along with the ear problems though, although the ear stuff happened before she was hurt by a fall]~

I don't think that Ayu could've had an infection "she didn't take care of" because she probably regularly has to get checked up by physicians.. and stuff. You know, she needs her health yadda yadda. So she probably goes to the doctor more than the required amount of times in one year..

I'm sure ayu tries to take care of her health. Wasn't there a interview one time from a magazine or something and it mentioned ayu saying she likes to try different things like pills or health foods that she thinks will make her more healthy?

I honestly can't believe this. When I have ear infections, mostly in my left ear, I can't stand being deaf for a week/two weeks--I can't imagine to not have it entirely! Poor Ayu, I really don't know how I feel about her pursuing more tours or things that may make it a little worse. I feel like she's not putting her own needs ahead of her career, and while it's admirable to see her dedication, all I want for Ayu is what's best for Ayu.

I've never wanted to give her a hug and a warm cup of tea more than I have now She's had such a horrible year, and now this?
