Uchi's Drama: Isshun no Kaze ni Nare Synopsis
This story talks about a high school track and field sprinter Kamiya Shinji (神谷新二) who has a unique character, and his friendship with Ichinose连 (一ノ瀬连). Shinji's dad was a national gymnast during his high school days, and his mum was a supporter. His brother Kenichi (神谷健一) is a talented soccer player, who has potential to go into the national team. Hence, Shinji wants to be a soccer player as well, but no matter how hard he tries, he can't be better than his brother, hence he felt very disappointed.

连 has special skills (like body/athletic skills), therefore people always paid great attention to him and looked up to him. However, he hates it so much that his character changed, and he is fussy over food, plays games til the wee hours of the night, and live a life without rules. At the same time, he carried the burden of being a hope for the Track and Field team and Gymnastic team, whom he let down.

Shinji and 连 were friends since young and had been together a lot and managed to go to the same high school, however they were like opposites in a lot of things. Compared to the talented, hardworking and perfect brother (Kenichi), Shinji had no skills at all. He didn't want to see 连's talents being wasted and so, urged him to join the track team. Hence, 连 joined the track team with one condition, that Shinji joins too.

After that, Shinji and 连's different sprinting skills were being discovered, and Shinji's growth became the main part of the story. Actually before 连 asked Mr 三轮 of the Track team, he had already found out that Shinji had this talent, and so brought out that one condition. 连 has worked very hard to think of how to let Shinji, who was practising hard for soccer, develop his sprinting skills.

The story continues with Shinji as the narrator, emphasising on 连's special sprinting talent. Shinji kept chasing after 连's back, and 连 also saw what he lacked through Shinji. Their sprints improved.

At the big games, the stress from the other competitors and the pressure to run below 10s for the 100m, made them use scientific methods to strengthen their bodies. Shinji was growing, from being a supporter at the games, to a person who watches his running techniques, and focusing on others' too.

Shinji was bothered by 连's negative attitude during training, and sometimes jealous of his sprints, but he continued to press on. They soon became Year 3 students, and participated in their last track games. Shinji and 连 both joined the 4x100m race. When they started running, they felt as if they were flying...

连's battle with his enemy 仙波一也 from another high school, and falling in love with Shinji's trackmate, 谷口若菜 are the drama's highlights as well.

i think the current NEWS formation is okay, but having those 2 back would make me appreciate NEWS more, actually. cuz i came into the fandom with an 8 member NEWS & i did suffer heartache when Uchi was suspended. i was pretty angry at Kusano tho. hehe.

Including the 6 we have now + Moriuchi, Uchi Hiroki and Hironori Kusano.
Moriuchi left after their first single, he's now in a rock back ONE OK ROCK.
Then, about 2.5 years ago, Uchi and Kusano got in trouble for underage drinking.
So NEWS got suspended for a while.
They had a comeback at the 2006~2007 JE CDL (I believe)
But with only 6 people~


I am watching his drama for sure, yo~~

I forgot about that ninth guy.

awww, i must be the only one who likes 8 member NEWS.
i think it's funny seeing ONE OK ROCK knowing the lead singer was a member of NEWS. especially since their music's the total opposite of NEWS.

I got worried when I herd Uchi is returning. haha. I'd like himt o go back to KJ8, but I'm too in love with NEWS as they are now. Re-adding the old members would kinda ruin it for me. =/ lol. How selfish do I sound. XD
