hey ppl!!! I dunno... but I don't think that the japaneses think that if they see ayu (HALF deaf) using a mp3 player they'll become deaf, they are ppl.. I don't think they are soo stupid to think that... CM are IMAGE, Ayu is the QUEEN OF THE IMAGE!!! the most of the girls in Japan wants to be like her or imate her image...

I think if Panasonic replace her will be a BIG LOSS for them!!

But seriously, I don't think they'll replace her. Like some others have said, it's more about her fame than anything else. I don't think they'll really take the half-deaf thing too seriously.

Quite a few Japanese people seemed to have brought the deafness up along with her Panasonic d-snap audio promotion..

It shouldn't matter if she's deaf.. I mean, so what if they don't have a monaural thing? She's still the "image character" and thus, as the image character, she is 'able to hear' it..

Unless they just flat out say: "SORRY. WE CANNOT SHOW MISS HAMASAKI WITH THE EARBUD IN HER LEFT EAR. SORRY AGAIN."
