Is this inferring that he wrote Depend on you because that's totally not cool if it is ;/ his cover is good though

If you watch his "Lost in Translation Part 1" video, he mentions that "Depend on you was originally Japanese and was rewritten into English" or something like that. I thought the same thing as you at first. "That's not cool! " He could have at least mentioned that he covered it though.
