in before someone questioning the truth of these, as an official report for the owners of the Avex Group it would be illegal to lie in the financial report and it would be grounds for a lawsuit I believe.
The Japanese corporate world is pretty blatantly corrupt though. It wouldn't be past them to inflate things like this, which only they can verify.

I think all of Ayu's singles should be download only now, looking at TW's sales.

Maybe Johnny's is, but avex imo seems kinda fair.. fans seem to fuel sudden bursts [i.e AAA FC going insane after Mirage almost lost the #1..]

Does this mean that Ayu has been getting more and more popular in Asia?

m(u) = 770k
Secret = 1.00m
GUILTY = 1.05m

Okay there isn't much of a diff between GUILTY and Secret.. haha.

I'm interested in numbers relating to Namie and Kuu though.. anyone got?

I guess Oricon doesn't cover all of the stores. The numbers look really nice

true, they're corrupt in a way that they do have a lot of favoritism & unfair deals with other companies.

but inflating the finanvial summary makes no sense. the owners are expecting the yearly end result to be in line with the financial reports, and if it does not live up to what you could expect from these it would be just disastrous for the company. and a fraud of somesort too.

also it's a fact that Oricon does not cover all the sales. the actual sales are probably 10-20% higher for each artist than the number given by Oricon. but Oricon is a good indicator for the success and the most reputable chart in Japan nonetheless

Or, you know, Ayumi could have just sold that many records.

It's not impossible - someone's got to do it, and Ayumi is the prime candidate. Sales aren't what they used to be, but why can't she sell that much in Asia? Seems perfectly likely to me.

It's no secret that ayu is the most popular japanese artist (or female artist) in asia as well.
The best selling Japanese female and solo artist in overall sales officially by oricon too.

Just for the noticing, ayu's overall sales (that are counted in oricon and only in Japan) are standing on around 46,351,761 to date .

Are those the real sale numbers? Because truehappiness posted a link at the bottom of the first page with different numbers from the official avex website, I think.

Sorry for the size, just wanted to get it noticed. XD

Could someone please post the sales from the pdf? I can't open them, they crash my computer. -_-;

These are shipped items, "sold" to the vendors/distributors. Not all sold to customers.
