That performance totally blew me away when I saw it, right there, on spot, at Yoyogi Stadium. It was the song I looked forward to hearing the most in that show, and what a performance it was.

And yeah, during her 2nd show that year at Saitama Arena the ball got stuck, they couldn't lower it down. According to SunshineSlayer, who was there and reported about it, it looked like Ayumi considered jumping but ended up staying cool and decided to perform the next two songs while still in the ball (probably a good idea, considering how high up it actually was. The show must go on. Afterwards they moved the ball backstage and they got her out of there somehow.

Why she wont be performing it again? There's very few album unique songs that Ayumi has performed during more than one tour. Each tour is to promote her latest album, and that's why all songs from the current album will only be performed during one tour and possibly at a CDL or two. Singles have a larger chance of being sung more than once, since she'll try to promote her singles through a-nation and CDL. Songs like Startin' got a lot of performances because it was finished before the CDL that year, then she performed it during the AT and then at both a-nation and the next CDL, if my memory doesn't fail me (I'm not counting TV performances here).

That was one of my favorite performances, and I guess it's the signature of AT2006 and she couldn't just easily repeat it although I really want her to do it (again* again* XD)

I agree with truehappiness theory about her performace waves, maybe next yera she thinks of new ideas (I hope so)

One of the coolest and most different Ayu performances ever. I love how dark and red it was. I love how each dancer looked. The whole theme was very unique. Sort of tribal, except waaaaay cooler than the AT 06 opening. XD

yes i feel that its the best performance!! ever!!!

it's expensive, extravagant, impressive. I am proud to let all my friends watch this performance because of its high quality!!

the dancer's costumes are magnificent. ayu's on-air stunts. I particularly liked the way they manage to turn a very rockish song into something that is very mysterious and dark.. the extensions before the final 3 choruses as well as the very end is a good effect!!!

^Buy the DVD? =P It's really awesome and great bang for your buck. It has all the MC sessions and candid moments as well. I loved the costumes and acrobatics. It really looked high budget. I thought there was a doc footage that showed her singing is this LOVE? or (miss)understood in the alterna costume. Maybe that was the stuck in the ball moment and they didn't have enough time to get her a costume change.

Like someone earlier said, it was probably meant to be a HAPPY ENDING kind of performance and i kind of like it that way. But if she performs it again, i hope the theme will be completely different. Before AT06 came out, i envisaged it performed as an Alice in Wonderland idea, sort of like how the PV was and ayu would be wearing the blue dress with white apron.

Yea I am trying to find the DVD since these past few weeks I've grown into an E-bay addict (partly the reason why I've been posting less on the forums ). Taking a bit of time because I try to find the Japan release because I am a freak like that.

Sad but mostly true. Kind of why songs like About You were only performed during the summer tours, and kind of why future performances of spectacular songs like alterna or kiss o'kill is not likely.

Why eBay? It won't be that much cheaper than YesAsia, considering at YesAsia you get free shipping but on eBay you'll have to pay for that service.

The free shipping to the U.S. is only if you purchase $40 or more at once. However, you'd be surprised what kind of deals you will find on Ebay as long as you are patient. I found an authentic Japan version of the AT06 DVD for 10 bucks a few days ago, unfortunately I lost the auction

I think the DVD costs $40 or more on its own?

Yeah, you can find nice deals on eBay, but if AT06 goes for only $10 there, don't expect to see more people trying to sell it since it's barely worth it. Also, keep an eye on the shipping cost, sometimes they try to rip you off with a high shipping. And at that price, are you entirely sure it was authentic?

Theres no way to guarantee authenticity but if it is listed as a authentic Japan release by a Power-Seller Ebay user (like the one I saw), you are 99.9% guaranteed it is, because a Power-Seller will likely have a positive feedback percentile that is close to 100. You can also look to see if the Ebay user provides an obi with an album or if they list the product manufacturer as Avex Trax. If it is not authentic, most of the time the users do not say anything about it. Or sometimes you have to research it yourself. If the manufacturer is listed as Miya Records, then it is a bootleg. That is a Taiwanese bootleg company that produces high quality bootlegs almost as good quality as the originals, but still nevertheless bootlegs.

I do keep an eye on shipping costs, and I know what the standard rates are for air mail service and I haven't had any experience yet getting ripped off on shipping prices. Some people make a living off selling things on Ebay and they don't risk any negative transactions, including jacking up additional fees to make a few extra bucks.

My favorite thing about it (aside from Ayu and her dancers in mid-air) is the underwater theme. I hope Ayu does another underwater theme soon! ^^

It is indeed a spectacular performance. I'd want to show it to all my friends and family, not caring if they know about her or not!

I loved that one, it was really cool to see live. The guys on the huge stilts were pretty frikkin scary, too. I wish I could have the Ayupan of her from that performance.

i love this performance to death.

imho, ayu may have seen a cirque du soleil show or a clip of one performance and was inspired by them. alterna's perf. during at 06 was SOOOO reminiscent of their style that i was seriously in awe. of course, ayu made it all her own...

there's something about the way this was performed that struck me as both vulnerable and oddly human. first there's the ayu in the "tube" at the beginning, trying to curl up and stay unaware/unconscious, but she keeps being jolted by these harsh, sudden sounds. in the video at the end, the one that kept being jolted awake ends up being the only ayu in the tubes who has her eyes open and it's just so.... creepy. i wish i could analyze the performance better, but i can't make much sense of it.

I love her outfit in the performance. I have no idea the meaning of the zebra outfits and underwater ayus, but it was COOL.
Harness or no harness she is still pretty brave. They could have given me a parachute and I would have never gotten up on that thing and move the way she did.lol.Im sorry but the second that I see them pulling that ball thingy up with me inside I would have freak out.lol

I agree that she was very daring to perform in that ball, but I think Shuya and Gomi's performance in that ball was CRAZIER! I think it was Shuya that was hanging from the bottom making movements upside down! When I was watching it I was thinking "oh man, I would have had consecutive heart attacks if I did this!"

ayu is actually afraid of heights. i think i will freak out if i was ayu in Dearest A Museum. that was just like a floating chair with nothing but a hoop around you and swinging up and down. At least Free & Easy (AT2002) was stationary.

other aerial performances includes ourselves, evolution (AT 2007) and kiss o' kill.
