「Days」 DISCUSSION!

I quite like this song!!!! It is quite emotional...and OMG finally a quality this-kind-of winter ballad...Lol...the loved all her winter material..but this one does give me more of the X-mas vibe...

and after hearing the chorus...the verse must be dang short from that lyrics she gave....
I REALLY LOVE the rising part of the melody in the chorus at the end...its so nostalgic and reminiscent of her older days ballad...like YOU..at least now, I know why they picked Love~Destiny~ and TO BE...

and Ayu's voice just shines thru in that preview...it is strong and bright!

The only thing to make this song perfect is a climatic bridge (o plz plz plz!!!)

other than that...If possible, a clearer preview...if not...NO MORE PREVIEWS FOR ME EITHER!..i dun wanna kill the love i hve for this song anymore

i think this song was the first a-side because it's less experimental than GREEN...

hmmm, based on the previews, i thk it's rather boring.. sounds like a typical ballad.. agreed with someone saying that it sounds lyk smthg koda kumi could have done..

but i quite like the change in key at 00:24 I kinda can see how the lyrics fit in with the whole song. Hopefully, Days will grow on me overtime.. Shall wait for the full song to make further judgements.

I still prefer GREEN.. heh.

Anyways, I want to point out something that bothers me. In the very beginning, when Ayu is like "kimi ga iru", the "iru" sounds so out of sync with the instruments. It's irritating me.

I think I'll only listen to the full version when it comes out, the Close to you comparison makes me happy though cos that's one of my favourite Ayu songs

So sweet! Mostly the general composition and etc. Koi wo shiteiru was composed by Kazuhito Kikuchi I believe.. so I wonder if that leaves Days open for being composed by him too?

after listening it to a few more times, I thk it's the type of song tht could make u cry ur eyes out if you were to listen it during a heartbreak.. I thk emotionally, she has achieved it ~

Days overshadowed GREEN in my opinion.
I like how they mix the atmosphere of Christmas/winter/loneliness in this another masterpiece.

I like GREEN but not that memorable as Days.

It has special sentimental feeling when I heard it on the very first time. :*)

For me, from only hearing the chorus it feel totaly blown away. The melody took so many diffrent ways that I didnt expect. And I love love loooove songs where the tone raises, "boku no da ga ira" and "itsu matte mo".(sorry if I got the japanese wrong but you get which parts I meant. Thats truly amasing and gets right into my heart everytime!!

I still really dont know why (cuz I have been listening to both songs over and over again and cant really fint the similarity), but still after that she sings kimi ga iru there comes a part that makes me think of Only Human - K. Lol, Im confuced why. Wellwell.

But for now, I think Im gonna spare myself until I hear the whole song but OMG its so freaking amasing so far, how am I gonna control myself waiting for so long? Haha. XD True "i-landsproblem" like we say in Sweden.

It probably will, but I agree with you, it was so simple and generic it's one of the very few ayu songs that actually sounds like a b-side to me. There's nothing wrong with Life, but it's just not there.



As for days, it's funny, seeing the comments on here, I could almost imagine how it would be like before hearing the previews. It's a nice song, a little generic or rather cheesy, but so was most of her other "christmasy" songs like no way to say (it's basically very much like all the ballads on my story).

I think it balances out the single really nicely and will be of likeing to those who cannot well digest the more far outness (for ayu) in terms of both vocals and arrangements of GREEN. I'm one of those who don't really like CAROLS that much, but I like Days more.

I can't wait to hear a HQ for this though, as it can greatly make me appreciate the song more.

And really, it's not a bad song. If anyone else did sing this song I'd be really impressed.

Horrible piano effect? I swear the LQ-ness is making you think of the H/\L echo piano which really isn't at all in Days..

I agree Life is amazing and it's so far my favourite ayu song for 2008. Mirrorcle World was also great, but it just get's too loud for me sometimes and it's not something I can listen to on a daily basis.

It's alright so far...Very Christmas-like, but more winterish. It's like the opposite of [No Way to Say]. It's more upbeat so it's more of a winter-tune than a Christmas tune...if that makes any frickin' sense.
