Yes, "Mirrorcle World" influences are heavily felt in the Marching section. Definitely popped into my mind.

Yeah, I got that vibe as well from the Marching section. That's the part that's typical of Namie. Feels like it doesn't belong with the much more interesting beginning, which if I must say sounds a lot like something Utada would do. At least the music, b/c it sounds very atmospheric and other worldly. I think that's why so many are going goo goo crazy over it and exclaiming how different it is and how much they've been waiting for something like this from Namie.

On another note, I've read some messages here that causes me to question whether you guys realize that Namie's hair in this Commercial isn't real time. It's not as simple as blowing it back with a huge fan and slowing it down with video capture. Has your hair ever blown like that in the wind?
Even if that was possible, her face isn't contorted as it would be if some huge fan was blowing against her flapping her skin every which way.

So how exactly did they get her hair to flow like that? You say it's not in real time, do you mean that they pre-recorded that part and then added it in somehow?

Well I THINK they pre-captured SOMETHING before hand, added graphical effects to that, such as the glimmering waves and whatever else because there's still no way for hair to naturally move like that through natural physical manipulation (Sorry Vidal Sasoon, not even you are that good), and then cropped out her real time hair and digitally inserted what's in the commercial. Of course this is just speculation. I just know that it isn't real time.

Because you see, her hair is completely flattened vertically. There's no horizontal depth and that's just impossible. They more than likely got her to press her hair against a surface and completely flattenened it before hand. Captured that. And then they added everything else concerning the motion and what not and inserted that into the commercial.
