^Um...I'm pretty sure that even if push comes to shove...the MV will most definitely...show up...i mean the preview looks really good...and quite expensive...it would be really stupid not to release the whole thing

And the Maple Story community is not just Asian. Yeah people may hate on that game but its really good promotion. She made it to Maple Story's front page and she's featured on the add that pops up when u close the game meaning EVERYONE who plays maple story (some number in the millions i dont remember) will see her face and her ad.
I typed more than I wanted to for this so I'm just going to put points:

Yes, she is now catering to the Asian market. She's done some interviews to open herself up but ultimately her Asian fans are swarming and overwhelming. Some of her interviews pull questions from fans. Those questions consist of "are there going to be english version of VALENTI or Key of Heart" (don't remember the songs but I know they'd suck as American releases). There have been questions regarding what her favorite Korean dishes are. Those things don't relate to the casual American music listener and will put them off. I feel that most times BoA has no control how she's being handled because her team doesn't fully understand and her already established fans view her as a K-Pop/J-Pop idol in American rather than an Artist trying to make it as an American styled Artist.

MapleStory is not good promotion. She's being listed on a site of gamers who are probably familiar with her or her career back in Asia. How does that reach the mass amounts of American music listeners? It doesn't.

The only decent promotion I believe she had was Forever21, which itself isn't all that great.

I dont think it's BoA's fault, that she isn't being promoted to our approval though... If she had the choice, I'm sure we would all be able to see her on T.V 24/7. I think the blame goes to the management. In time, I think BoA will be better known as an artist in the US...I mean I'm pretty sure no one can say that there isn't at least a few peolple who have discovered her,and became new fans, because of BoA's decision to enter the US market....

i agree. i thought the forever21 promotion was good but it was only up what, like 2-3 days? it seems like most of her promotion is online..
lol whatever. i still think IDIFL has the possibility of being a hit despite a couple of lines that can't be understood. but it probably won't since it's barely getting played on radios eh?

^BoA was suppose to perform at the World something Baseball game but they canceled it because she had tonsillitis. And nothing new. It's like she just fell of the US map. She will be in Japan on the fourth of April for Springroove.

yeah the footsteps were a reference to GREEN. In fact I made several references in this video...one of them is the footsteps...one is to BoA's PV for I did it for love (the fans)...the other ones are pretty subtle. You can find them during the "And now my friends..." part and the ending...

This whole album seemed to be almost like a treat for her Korean-American fans and nothing more. It doesn't even feel like she's trying to break through to mainstream America, because almost all of her promo and stuff has been targeting people who are already fans (mostly Korean-Americans and other Asian-Americans). It's kind of ridiculous. She needs to take a page from Utada and tackle this differently, trying to appeal more to the everyday person, not people who already know and love you.

She better not just tour on the eastern side of the US I'm sure California is on the list for her tour. I just hope it's specifically San Jose!

"She" needs to? She's not really in charge of it. :<
