Ah Severina je makar bila fun za gledanje~ ove godine je sve uzasno~ dobro je sto onaj nas tip sa perikom nije prosao u finale >.<

A complete noob could tell that show was not live.

and i agree, there was a lot of lipsync there. i don't remember whic song it was or what country, but there was a woman and a man performing and they fliped the woman while she was singing and the part was perfectlly sung!
like hell anyone can do that.

@MissEllin: they made that on purpose, to make it more realistic. people would be even more convinced about the playback/lipsync if all the notes were sung perfectlly^^

Congrats to Norway, but there were also many songs that deserved to win too.

But Turkey - I don't know if that girl can sing but her performance was awful. And she got the 4th place...While Armenia, Romania, Portugal(such cute song even that I don't know portuguese), Croatia and Estonia were lower.
I was shocked that Spain got only 23 points. They had a really great song.

And was shocked by Russian performance - it was so bad. I'm really ashamed that my country chose that girl to present us at the contest.

I don't think it was lip-synced. There's no proof of that.

All of the instrumentals comes from back and all of the singing comes from the 6 (or less) persons who are on the stage. But to their voices can be added some effects like echoing and vocodering.

And I've never seen anyone before doubting it. Except you guys here on this thread.

Hahaha OMG I cant belive that this is a real discussion! Thats ppl in the world think that theres playback and that they do the playback with some false notes to make it sound real. Lol. Best joke for this year!

OK, playback proof by me: theres one contestant playing the violin while singing(i think he even won?) his mouth and violin are at around the same distance of the microphone, so both should be picked up, in the middle of the song, while hes not singing, he goes around and stands in front of the microphone, but you still hear the violin, its impossible to still hear the violin in the same volume, now some of you will say the violin is playback and the singing live: its not, if the singing was live, you would hear two violins all the time(one live, one playback) because the violin is almost as near as the mouth to the microphone, so if it picks up the singing, it HAS to pick up the violin as well, and if he is in a position where you WOULD NOT hear the singing anymore, you wouldnt hear the violin as well, but you hear the violin

@ MissElin
Youre a very naive person, listen to some ayu playback performances and say that again, they are not near being perfect as well
I read on a german board of an indie band making their first tv performance, they thought they would sing live, but in the tv studio they were told to record a one-take version of their song so they could later sing playback on it
People doubting its playback just because there are false notes are a joke^^

^ I actually agree with you this time xD ERIKA did that when she performed Destination Nowhere. I find it really amusing that people actually think he sang quite good and played the violin and jumped around all the time without breathing at all xD It's a bit too far fetched.

Hehe okok. I can take that. I'm a naive person then.

And on the side note, I never said anything about the music beeing playback, I know it is.
And yes I have seen alot of Ayu performances and I know that she have done some playback and I know how it sounded then. But just as a side note as said.

I just can't belive it's playback

Those instruments are not probablly real. I mean they don't make any voice when you play them. How you can prove that they are not like that?

and look at this video
at 2:22 his voice is totally same as when he adds something that doesn't belong to that song. And he sings it in a different way in the final performance and in semi-final.

Are you saying that every singer recorded their songs one extra time so if they win they sound happier and add random thank yous there... I mean... come on.

SOME TV live performances are playback like some low budget TV programs when they don't have enough money for real live recording and some of them are not like when Ayu forgot her lyrics. was that playback too?

In ESC there IS real singing. it's a song contest. I mean, singing live can't be THAT hard. ESC has always HUGE budget how they could do something so cheap like that?

I'm sorry, but you gotta be a complete idiot to even remotely believe in it. You say yourself you're not really into the contest, so how would you know? For the preceding weeks before the shows, I watched every single rehearsal video and their sound checks, voice checks with the sound system, etc. Everything.

They can't have just some people lip synch, that would be completely unfair since it's a competition. Do people lip synch on American Idol? X Factor?

EBU rules: You have to sing live, no live instruments allowed. Every instrument you see on stage is just for show.

Stop talking about things you have vague knowledge about. Some people are simply obsessed with the whole lip synching thing, it's quite hilarious.

^take it easy man. no need to get all personal and super angry. everyone has the right to say what they think, no need to offend people.

+ life is unfair, war is unfair, as the matter of fact the whole world is unfair, some people just need to deal with it
and he didn't say the whole eurovision was on playback, but just some songs.

and if you want some proof there was playback there, look at this performance. she was carryed by the men while singing and even flipped around and she had the SAME tone/voice and there was no shortness of breath or anything!!! that's just impossibile.

this is just one example, i could find more but don't feel the need.

and i don't get why you're so obsessive about it. you're not even from europe, if we europeans can deal with playback on eurovision, i don't see why someone from the US can't.

I think the term "noob" is quite personal.

It's a song contest, rules are made to make it fair. They can't favor anybody, people would get pissed off and pull out. Plus saying over 90 percent of the competition is lipped? Yea that's like saying the whole thing is.

You can't sing when you're being carried? She didn't sing sing at ANY of her flips, what are you talking about.

if you followed eurovision, at least twice in your life, you'll know (like the whole europe does) that eurovision became 99% politics 1%music talent.
just look at the votes, each songs gets THE highest number of points from their neighbour, that alone proves the competition's not fair.

i never said you can't sing while being carried, i just stated a few things that happened there, and she did sing while she was flipped. i ment the first flipp/roll or whatever you want to call it. the guy tok her hand from behind and pushed her to himself and spinned her WHILE she was singing, and there was no diference in her voice.
at least aknowelege that.

of course you can challange statements, after all, that's what we all are doing right now. but there's no need to get all obsessed or personal about all of this. ^^

The noob comment was a direct answer to me saying it wasn't lipped. Mine was, just the same, directed to the opposite people who believe it was fake.

I followed it since 1999. The neighborvoting issue is a seperate discussion, and yea, it's always been somewhat apparent. It really has nothing to do with the fact that EBU has no interest in rigging the contest for a specific country, since the EBU is made up of all countries. Either everybody gets to lip sync, or none.

I still don't see Svetlana singing in any of her flips. Some of it is her backup singers, I don't know if that's what you see. When she comes out of her vertical flip through the 3 guys, her "yeahh!" actually sounds different in the final from the semi final.

^I seccond that. And thank you zoomzoom for great point of views. I stoped when I was called naive and somewhat a noob, it was just a bit over the line for me.

I really can't understand why ppl must think that this is playback when its the most famous singing competition that simply dont do playback. And I have never heard this ever before, maybe some Ayu-fans are too hurt with playbacks that they can't belive that some performances actually is live...

I really don't wanna go personal and such, but it kind of enoys me that some have to think that is playback of this show... Like zoomzoom said, the jumping and twirrling and such, yeah you know, some proffesional singers can actually handle that, and some not. Just listen to Turkey in the final. She let her choir sing the refrain most of the time cuz she was sooo out of breath. And Svetlana from Ukraine is a VEEEERY skilled performer that is used to this and yes she didnt sing during those spins, it was her choir. Once again like zoomzoom said, idol can sing live, why wouldnt the most important sing-live-competition not be live then?

Cuz I, like zoomzoom have followed this competition since 1999 like it was my religion or something. You know I read and listen to everything. And the Swedish dudes in generall loves this competition and Sweden is one of the countrys that put most effort and money into this. I mean in Ukraine half of the camera and technical crew was Swedes. To sum up, we have alot of insight in this competition. And for ppl to say, that dont follow this competition in the same way, that it is playback, its just kind of silly dont you think?

Just to make sure, Im not obsessed or something, but I do enjoy this show the most of all the shows every year, and I do have alot of knowlege about it. And to see this discussion for the first time when it is so obvious that its not playback, its just.... amazing imo.

okay, it was 1st time eurovision passed in my country

I was quite pleased with the show, but I found music & performance much worse than the previous year, and less, much less entertaining

crisis, damn it

I was really proud, though, that my country made a nice show and opening, and also the pool thingy and everything

I didn't like the winner from Norway, who is also Russian, haha
he looked very naive and so innocent, that's an old trick to use on audience
but the song sucks, imho

I liked Germany's Dita Von Teese, yaaaay
hot babe, too bad Germany didn't have much points

I didn't liked Azerbaijahn, because, umm..well, such songs are so typical. very. the performance was typical. very. so much alike Turkey, I mean the music

I liked Iceland. she was beautiful and the music was beautiful, and the dress. but she had absolutely no contact with the audience, tbh

I liked Denmark. really. good old light rock, and a nice man

my Russian girl, Prihodko didn't make it. she just made such a shame to my country. she's ugly, absolutely non-talented & half-educated. eww
and the peformance she had was horrible. I cried because it was extremely awful >.<

zoomzoom is being *****y for no reason ^^ The NOOB thingy wasn't directed at you. I am not obsessed with lip syncing (take a look at the Ayu x lip syncing threads - I hate those) nor with ESC as I find the whole thing quite lame nowdays.

You don't have to get all defensive about it and call me names ^^ No need to continue the pointless argument I was just saying what I think was quite obvious Live with it..or not.

@truehappiness - No one's ganging up on anyone
