Let's not forget that our teenage ayu is quite a rebel, she's was actually very fun and not bothering about her future when Max found her.
This is bad....Ayu's image WILL BE RUIN forever, there will be fans who will even despise her and leave her; lesser jobs oppunities, as companies won't want someone with a bad image.....

Doesn't surprise me really not that I care but it is shady.

Who would take an 18 year old girl with almost ZERO ability to sing (vocals on ASFXX album) and send her to another country free for a few months to take singing lessons for nothing? It doesnt even seem like a worthwhile investment since she didn't even seem like a good singer at that time

Oh well I'd totally sleep my way to the top if I knew a record producer who found me hot even if he was like 50. Morals are a thing of the past

What's wrong with her giving a kiss to her boss? Kissing doesn't always mean uh...love relationship. And even if it was, that was long in the past, so why even bring it up now? No one would even give a crap. Not me at least. I think everyone is concerned with who she's dating now. She was 21 then, and 31 now. You do all kinds of things when you're young...

in US, it might not seem that bad. But in Asia, if they really are in a relationship, this is a big scandal.

No one knows if they really love each other, so this relationship, if true, might just be scandalous, just for each other's means...Ayu is just a young lost girl back then, and japanese guys are a sucker for young girls, so this will look very bad on ayu.

i seriously hope that there won't be any more leak out pictures.

I would prefer not to know what ayu did to get her sucess and chance in Avex.

Yup you're right. I wouldn't mind seeing what really happened in the past. Ayu's always been about "being honest and 100% yourself" so let's see if she practices what she preaches if these get leaked. If she can stand in front of the Japanese public and say "Yes, I dated my manager, do you have a problem with that? If so, deal with it." then that would be so fierce and such a Madonna-esque moment and I would have so much respect for her

If she makes up some stupid lie then my respect for her will decline as she preaches honesty and not caring about what others think...

Either way I don't care if she dated him or not. Like whatever. I like her because she's a good singer & performer... but the general public will FREAK OUT and I wonder how she will deal with the situation

... hopefully it doesn't lead to a Britney-style meltdown

Meh...that was then and this is now. It would probably have more serious implications if that picture was taken in the year of '09, and not '99. Then again, if it has to do with her success and popularity, then perhaps the implications are just as serious now. She might have received preferential treatment but that can only get you so far...wouldn't be right to assume she got this far on someone else's influence alone.

Perhaps they are both doing everything in their power to stop the leak of these pictures because they don't want to be misunderstood...especially with the way people jump on w/e leads they can get their hands on these days. What can we assume with one picture? For all we know they could just be having a good time lol.

hmm, but without these special treatments, ayu might not even have a chance to release any music, so it does sound like a little favourism.
Remember, her NFN sales are horrible, she's not a good singer back then.

EDIT: oh well...i don't want to think about how ayu got her chance, i prefer beliving that Max found her hidden ability and have to send her to New York to groom this young girl.

The point is, if its ever completely proven that she was, then yes it would be a big deal. It wouldn't matter if its still going on or not. As I said before, it would raise a lot of issues in terms of preferential treatment and then even the somewhat coup of Max/Ayu vs. Avex's board of directors and President back in 2004 might be brought up as a major issue as well. (the media would probably find some kind of connection between the two events) All would be to the detriment of the amount of respect for Ayu in the eyes of the general public and probably many fans as well. I've already seen several Japanese fans actually express that this was the reason they quit being a Hamasaki fan, even though its never been 100% confirmed. (as I said, this rumor has been prominent in Japan for a looong time)
