WOW. After you linked to that, it's kinda confirmed it's Ayumi. Same hairstyle, but the one that appears more black is because she's on a different angle and the flash didn't highlight her hair.

I kinda agree, until a few years ago kuu got really nice makeup and stuff.

Yeah, looks exactly the same to me. The only difference is the lighting and angle in the picture. The same thing happened in the Whatever tv appearances at the time - depending on the lighting of the music show, her hair either looked totally black or more brownish, especially in the front. I'm surprised I hadn't seen that other photo until now.

Honestly, even BEFORE pictures leaked, I always kind of suspected this was a strong possibility. Just based on how they supposedly met and the circumstances surrounding that and her early career with Avex. That doesn't mean though that the stuff she released wasn't great at the time, it definitely was and it doesn't mean she didn't deserve it either. Has anyone else thought that the lyrics for Love~Destiny~ are about Max? I always thought that the lyrics fit perfectly.

I agree these days that her career is much closer to Seiko's than anything else. You forgot to add, supposedly cheated with a member of New Kids on the Block to the list. Its worth noting though that most of those scandals occurred either during the time her popularity was nose diving or well after the fact.

And yep, totally agree with your last paragraph. I think sometimes, we as foreigners, view Japan with this heightened sense of morality that doesn't exactly mesh with reality. Many Japanese businesses are extremely dirty, including the record companies.

According to Ayu a long time ago, she said they met at Club Velfarre where she sang karaoke. After that he began pursuing and sent her to New York for vocal lessons. Supposedly he was so impressed by the letters that she wrote him from NYC that he signed her to Avex. Honestly the explanation of how and why she got into Avex was always kind of unclear imo.

You're implying that EVERYONE sleeps with their bosses to get ahead. There are many that have something called dignity and don't do it. Please tell me how it's a "majority".

And sleeping around with other stars is totally irrelevant so I don't even know why you brought that up. People sleep with those people because they are in the same profession, and therefore, it's easier to meet those types of people.

The difference is that Britney had actively been trying to get a record deal for years doing a number of auditions for record companies.(not saying she should have gotten one, haha) Ayu on the other hand - by her own admission - was basically doing nothing but hanging out with friends and going to clubs day in and out.

It sounds like Max was being a creeper kind of, hahahahaha.
