I personally prefer TITO more than EXODUS. Mostly because it's a R&B album and EXODUS isn't like that at all though there was R&B music there. If remember correctly, TITO is done with a sense of humour. Utada wanted that herself and it was her decision. Personally the album is now one of my memories. It gives me lots of inspirtion too which is good. I really enjoy TITO and can't understand why so many of you hate that album.
And no, I don't hate EXODUS at all. I think it's a ok album, a bit surprising to me I guess (at least when I first heard it) but now it's really a listenable album. I like all of her albums, because they are all good in their own ways. The reason "It's not Utada" is stupid imo. Why don't you come up with a better reason to hate TITO and love EXDOUS? No offence. I'm just curious. ^___________^ And by the way, Dirty Desire's playing in my head right now. It's a good song. <3 |

^ Well, I don't hate TITO, and "it's not Utada" isn't why I don't like it. It's just one reason why it gives me an uneasy feeling when I listen to it. I don't like TITO because it's unoriginal, for one thing. (If I want to listen to anything like that, I'll just pop in an album from a few years ago. I listen to Hikaru, and other Japanese artists, because I don't want to listen to mainstream US stuff all the time.) But also because it's an obvious sell-out. (Which is different than the "it's not her" reason, though they are related. Which I guess is why it gives me that uneasy feeling.)

I'm thinking it's more likely that she'll sing some songs from EXODUS, considering this would be a US tour. :\ I hope more than anything that she would include some classic Hikaru Utada works, though! (Automatic, Can You Keep A Secret?......OMG! *flail*)
And wow, that interview made me remember just how much I love that woman's speaking voice!  It's so...sexy! I want it.

Didn't she say no matter where she tours she'd sing a little bit of everything? English, Japanese, and covers? haha She seemed to love doing covers at her first tour and Unplugged.
I'd imagine that she'd have a 10-15 song set-list of TiTO and Exodus songs (including Simple and Clean and Sanctuary) and then for the encore ask what J-song we wanna hear? Maybe... haha [edit] Tour pretty much 100% confirmed and with a UK Date!!! Congratulations UK fans!  Quote:

This is what I'm predicting as far as cities go:
1) Honolulu 2) L.A. 3) Las Vegas (or Denver) 4) Houston 5) Chicago 6) Miami 8) Atlanta 9) Pittsburgh (or one of the Ohio cities) 10) New York City 11) London +maybe more UK/Europe dates I think the real list will look something like what I'm predicting. At least if she wants to see the most fans, that is. She wouldn't go to more than one city in one region (ie. It'd be stupid to go to two Hawaii cities or two Cali cities.) I'm getting really nervous too now... I was hoping the tour would start later. I'm going to be in Paris from January 27th to February 3rd. If she is in my area (Pittsburgh area) on a date in that time frame-- I'll CRY. D: |

..in the.. UK... -DIES- OMG I'M SO HAPPY!! T__T Hardly any Japanese artists come to the U.K...to tour or anything..ahh... This makes me super happy~~! *__* LOLL ~ Thanks for the news~! ~ And on the whole TITO vS Exodus thing.. I like both of them..must admit TITO slowly grew on me and now it's one of my favourite albums, haha xD |

LA or SF date, please god.
or anywhere else in Calfornia, Nevada, Oregon, or Arizona lol and about the two cali dates. Not cool. People really underestimate the size of this state. There are a lot of people in northern california that could never go to an LA date, but who could go to an SF date, and vice-versa. It's not like on the east coast, how you drive four hours, and you've already gone through like 2+ states. People have been saying this in other threads too. It's kinda...ew lol
