Honestly, Leslie Kee...
and it's not like he takes better pictures over the others, or that his are more beautiful... but I just like how his shots are usually simple, a grey/light background, with most of the complexity going on with the individual, an oufit, pose, makeup, feature, etc, executed in such a way that, doesn't overpower the subject in any way, but instead completely brings out their personality. I think that Kazu tries to do this to an extent, but he so often throws his subjects into this fantastical world that for me, does what the opposite of what Leslie does, it overpowers the individual...and while it's fun to see them this way, and his pictures have a beauty and grace that is amazing, but for me I don't think he always captures the life and the essence of what I want to see from a shot of some of my most loved people. The other two, ND Chow, and Mitsuo, and Kazu too, I think just take beautiful photos lol I think they just have a knowledge of art, and photography, and they are able to take living photos of people who may not be the best models, and they are just really really good at what they do. And that is good thing too, because they are creative, and they bring in different backgrounds and oufits and have a versatility that is nice to see. I think that, the fashion world has a nice balance of photos from all these different types of photographers who create their art in their work, and just like traditional artists, they have certain styles, and Kee's for me, is my favorite... but I think if we had a world only full of Kee's styles of photos...it would be kind of boring lol ehh...so...crap...in terms of fashion, I'd probably vote for Mitsuo or ND Chow...just because of the styles of shoots they usually do...Kazu is fashionable...but I think his over-the-top approach can be daunting...Kee is more of a high fashion thing...Hijika seems to follow that route a bit...so I don't know lol I don't think I can say one or a few is better than the others...maybe if like is was as a group...like, Kazu-Kee-ND Chow...or something... because then you'd have a bunch of different creative avenues covered....
