Her release schedule is kind of odd actually.

her "TOKYO LADY" single just contain 1 new song...
and her 2nd mini album, just contain 3 new song...

i think that's kinda slow...if we compare it with Miwa, Jasmine or other new artist

she just released her album first, and she has released more original songs then miwa, and well JASMINE only has a couple more then her, but she also started releasing months before ICONIQ, and had a four month span between her first two singles, so really, I still don't get how you are calling her slow.

she is not slow, she release material in a different way.
She doesn't release singles and after an album like the other artists, that's all.

hahaha...to be honest, yes...maybe she is not that slow...
but maybe because i'm so hungry of her stuff, so i feel that her release pace is so slow...i want more and more...!!! hahaha...

i just hope, no more mini album..i want full album! and maxi single!

How were her sales? It seems to me that releasing a minialbum so quickly and not singles is like...trying to capitalize on them just being popular right now...

I think Avex is afraid of the whole staying power thing.

I think they're experimenting with her releases and trying something different by doing digital only singles, re-packaging an album, etc. instead of the normal way.

Avex did state in an official press release that they want to change the format of the old days, where an artist releases a string of singles and then a new album.

What better way to do this than by experimenting on a new artist? : /

Which is really unfortunate since a lot of these artists are actually really talented and start out fresh....but end up flopping because of Avex's lame marketing schemes.

Well, ICONIQ had a rough start to begin with. Her debut songs were received well but the public just doesn't seem to like her, for strange reasons I really don't understand. Which is a shame, since I think she's one of the most promising new artists of the year.

Honestly...I mean...I think it has a lot to do with how she looks...

but she's looked great in magazines and stuff...I dont see what their problem is...

Maybe if she was a pop artist like kana or something they'd like her more...who knows...

she's awesome anyway. I love how her melodies are unpredictable, yet catchy...and her vocals are also unpredictable and not cliche, and theyre so pretty.

I've been very surprised by her.
