Days is amazing!

It's a lovely song, but personally I like and appreciate lyrics more than song itself. One of her best in my opinion. Finally something you can relate on... I'm kinda surprised of quite big love for this track here, I always thought it's one of the most disliked and underrated songs in the fandom.

I never got into Days. GREEN just overpowered it on the single in my opinion. I thought it was quite generic and 'meh'. But then someone else mentioned meaning of Love and I realized that Days isn't that bad. moL is horrible imo. Maybe it's because I haven't given it a chance (one listen) but god it's so lame.

I'm going to go listen to Days and see if two years later it sparks some love within me.

Days is not GENERIC! I mean, it's soooooo catchy! I think it really strikes a chord, the melody. I just love it. You might as well say JEWEL is generic (which I love). I honestly just don't get it, I thought Days was so damn good there is no way you can't love it. I mean, the melody alone just is so perfect. You can't go wrong!

Days has such a beautiful feel, and it's message is amazing. And every time I hear it, I want to cry...

BUT, I will say, that, I don't find the music to be that hard hitting, and I think it is generic.

And I don't really think it's THAT catchy either...

BUT lol I think it's disappointing because, I want EPIC ballads from Ayu. And this is not an epic ballad.

It's a sweet ballad, and I think the generic music fits that very well.

Days was magic when I first saw the PV. And its such a sweet ballad..something I wouldnt really expect coming from Ayu...and truly, it was a "godsend" like she said it

I agree about the Godsend and I do think it is an "epic" ballad. The chorus seems epic. That's what I love - when the chorus kicks in, it's like angels rejoicing and it's so "BAM!" - that's what I consider epic.

I don't hear that at all (wish I could lol!). The chorus just kinda blends in with everything else.. nothing "BAM!" like some of her other ballads (No way to say, HANABI ~episode II~, still alone, GREEN, You were...) for example.

when you said the chorus to Days is like "BAM!" that's usually what I think of when I think of epic.. but I really don't hear it with Days. it's more laid back and sweet to me. I do like ballads that are like that though.. just not as much as others.

I am so in love with You were... and it was a godsend to me because I thought after Days, Curtain call, and Sunset she wasn't going to make any epic ballads anymore and she was just going to keep making simple ones. You were... is what showed me back then that ayu still has it to make an amazing mind blowing ballad.

epic ballad is like one of those ballads that has like...definitive low and high points, usually has a large climactic point...powerful vocals and melodies...


honestly the person making the most like definitive epic ballads now, is ALAN lol The best example I can think of, is Xin Zhan/Shin Sen for Red Cliff lol or maybe Ashita e no Sanka...

For Ayu....I would say, forgiveness, the hanabis...endless sorrow...maybe Will and Heaven....but I would call Heaven more sweet too...still alone def...dearest...others.

I think You Were and Ballad are kinda like...in between epic and sweet.

Her ballads have def been on the more sweet side lately...and I think it's cause, she's not hurting as much anymore lol

Mm, that does sound really nice. I always thought of the lyrics like, "You don't love me, but I love you, and you have someone already but let me love you forever and ever even so? Please?" I kinda don't like that message but it's a sweet song and it has sweet, simple lyrics anyway. I'm starting to wish she had more songs like it musically though.
