Annika Aakjær (Born 6 July 1982) is a Danish singer, songwriter and guitarist.

She is one of the first was included in the new songwriter training at Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Her first album "Little philanthropist" reaped praise from critics who predicted on her a great future. The second album "Missionary" also got good reviews. She starred in 2009 in Anne Dorte Michelsen's financial crisis cabaret and appeared in 2009-2010 in music cubits "Come Together" on the Eastern Gasworks (theatre).

Annika Aakjær was nominated for 2 steppe wolves (award) in 2009 and won "the one hope of the Year" and in 2010 nominated for P3 Gold in the category of "Talent."

Annika Aakjær stars as Daimi in a new film about Dirch Passer (Danish actor, 1926-1980) in 2011.

In my own words, I think she is just superb. She writes modern folk-pop and is not afraid to point out the flaws of society. Her lyrics often involves fear, fear of not doing what you want in life and just choosing a comfortable life, fear of death, fear of life etc. She covers The Beatles songs with excellency and sings with a rough, yet silky voice with a lot of character to it.

So, yes, missionary is actually her singing about the position since it is regarded as the most ordinary position in bed - a parallel of her position in life, as an obedient girlfriend/wife. It's hard to explain, but nevertheless, a masterpiece of a song imo.

This song has got to be one of the saddest I've ever heard. The lyrics are, as many of you probably can tell, the ones of someone who commited suicide by jumping in front of a train. There is just a lot of emotion in this song, lyrically and melody-wise. It is so non-cryptic, honest and just horrible. In a good way.

Sandy & Junior was a Brazilian pop music duo consisting of siblings Sandy Leah Lima (born January 28, 1983) and her brother Durval de Lima Junior (born April 11, 1984). They have one of the 10 best-selling albums ever in Brazil. Sandy and Junior are Brazilians.
They first gained notoriety by being the children of Xororó from popular country duo Chitãozinho & Xororó.
Sandy & Junior began by singing children's songs and country-influenced tracks (their first single, "Maria Chiquinha", is a classic country song). Once they reached adolescence, they changed their style to pop-influenced songs, mainly ballads and upbeat songs. The style change was in 1997. This first song, sharing the album title, is called "Seili*". It's semi-ballad type of song, kinda melancholic but also quite epic. I don't know why, but I though the mixing gives me a bit of "Ayu-vibes" : D
Very poetical lyrics are by former rapper-turned-Jazz/Pop singer Mariska, who is also quite popular in Finland.
This song includes an interlude called "Koti" [Home]. It's short and beautiful off-vocal piano track, mixing the music of "Seili". I have both songs belove.
[*Seili is an island located off the south-west coast of Finland. [Swedish name is "Själö"]
Seili was formely an island which held an mental hospital, which might explain the theme of the lyrics.

She sings italian and english both. Her voice is really sweet but powerful at the same time. She sounds pretty different from average italian singer (like Laura Pausini and Eros Ramazzotti our most famous singers in the world) so that's why I like her.

My favourite song from her (and her most famous as well) is Luce (Light).
Luce won the most famous italian music festival "Festival di Sanremo" back in 2001.

Actually it's a Mia Martini's cover, but Elisa version is a little bit more sweetier although the original one is amazing as well. One of the best italian love song I've ever heard.
