Angela Aki covered her OWN song and outdid her original song. Then she brought out monkeys and Jamaican drums on one song and the ukelele on the other. Dang.

Rola's "Memories" is so good...
I was not expecting such a well done song from her ^^;

Her voice is soothing. Not sure how much is altered or anything, but I hope she continues releasing... I wouldn't mind hearing more from her.

^ I also liked this song. I first heard it on last week's MSte. Rola said that she wasn't nervous and kept smiling and laughing, but I don't why but I felt nervous and worried about her. I felt very relieved when she finished the song

I hope she'll keep her singer career.

btw, I opened this thread just to ask where is Nakashima Mika lately? I haven't heard about her for a while. I just checked jps and it seems like she hasn't made any TV-live this year.... She's no more among stars like ayu, kuu, hikki and namie, though I remember that she used to be almost as big as they were.

^ she was in NYC the bigest part of the year for voice training and she also took acting classes. She's now back in Japan, recorded a few songs. She's also going to release a new single on September 2012, which will be the theme song for the upcoming movie "Resident Evil" in which, she'll also be featured as a zombie like in the last movie of the series

(it was described as a ballad ~~)

She recently was at Comic-con in San Diego to promote the movie with the main cast, and she'll be there also for the world premiere in Tokyo on September 3rd

So expect more Mika during the last part of the year

So apparently BoA's new album is good and I should listen to it and not ignore her.

Maybe she can be relevant again.

If the album disappoints me, I'm gonna be upset. Like really upset. It'll ruin my whole day. And maybe even summer. It might make me like, go die in a fire or something.

I heard Epik High is FINALLY out of hiatus and releasing an album in September. SO many epic releases coming out this fall!

I don't listen to Perfume but I wouldn't lie that I'm quite stoked that they're stopping by here as part of their upcoming 1st Asian tour

whoever said JPop is dead ...

flumpool , WEAVER & now Perfume are some of the jpop/rock acts that will be coming here & it's going to be really exciting !
