Of course! But money doesn't mean the end product will be great. It seems like less and less thought is being put into them or rather, she is no longer a visionary in the field but a follower. Other than Brillante or sweet season, all of her recent Pvs could've been done by anybody. I was watching Lana del ray's Tropico, and I (despite it's pretentiousness) thought to myself how sad it was that Ayu doesn't make any more epic Pvs.

I do want her angsty side back. STuff like alterna, ourselves, 1 LOVE, is this LOVE? etc. are giving me life, now she's becoming a singer rather than artist in terms of her PVs. there hasn't been a dark PV since Marrionete well apart from Retur Road i think. I mean i do love some of her recent stuff...I think Melody was the closest to being artistic and different, I also really liked Sweet scar. But that's all....Maybe Brillante could qualify as dark as well but all the half naked dudes just threw me off & i couldn't take it seriously...

i think budget does have something to do with quality in terms of technology and set deco, but it has nothing to do with how interesting it is, that depends on the IDEAS, which she kind of lacks these couple of years. I mean look at Melody it is extreamelly simple but it is interesting to watch, the idea is great even if not too new. She should probably also try new people, NOT FRIENDS' FRIENDS' FRIENDS.

BUT i still have hopes, since she did have a few decent PVs that had potential.

I'm glad someone mentioned 1LOVE. That is one of her best PVs ever, seriously. It had everything in it that made an Ayu PV an Ayu PV at the time. Plus, she had never looked hotter. I mean, Ayu in a sexy burlesque type outfit dominating a stripper pole?

Thanks for providing the list

WOW, I had no idea Masashi directed so many of her videos as of recently. Like, WOW. I think it's time to choose a new director tbh.

I really like the work of Kazuyoshi 'Shimoko' Shimomura, I think there were interesting concepts there...no idea he directed the "Lady Dynamite" clip. Hideaki would be a nice surprise.

She tends to just stick with one director for a couple of eras and then use a director for maybe one or two videos.

I'm not a fan of Masashi's work in the least, I mean other than "sexy little things." But yeah time for new directors.

OMG Kouki Tange did ourselves, Because of You and alterna.

Ayu, you need this man now!

EDIT: Tetsuo Inoue did a great job too.

Overall I think an artist don't have to use just one director for like 10+ consecutive videos...
