How do you imagine Ayu´s personality

How do you think is the personality of Ayumi? Offstage and cameras as you guys think it really is?

I think she is a sensitive, loving and friendly person, responsable with her work. She likes beautiful and sofisticated things and can be a bit spoiled and temperamental.

If anyone is familiar with the 16 Jungian personality types (I'm INFP, for instance) I think Ayu is probably an ESFJ.

Devoted to her work & responsibilities to others, comfortable talking in front of a large group, kind for the most part, loyal to her friends & co-workers, perhaps even sometimes gets too involved with other people. However, she's obsessed with how other people see her, afraid of standing out too much, likes doing things her own way but happier to stick with what she KNOWS works for her.

It's not 100% dead on, but I think that's the closest.

I'm an INFP too. I've always wondered what Ayu was on MBTI.

Judging from her lyrics though, I've always thought she was INFx or NF type. She seems incredibly too introspective to be so externally focused. I have a dear friend ESFJ, I cannot even imagine her journaling or expressing emotions with any kind of subtlety.

The way she handled the Music Station fiasco indicates a stubbornness or unwillingness to submit to authority and respect the "system" and its rules, which seems very unlike an ESFJ. I suppose none of us know how she truly reacted to it, but I feel like it could have been smoothed over easily if Ayu had quickly and sincerely apologized to Tamori-san and/or the network. Instead, she seemed unaffected by it- with an air of arrogance, almost.

I saw the documentary and i could say she is a perfectionist person, she takes care of every detail of her work.

From documentaries and BTS, sometimes I see her as an arrogant and strict, hard-to-talk-to person. Of course that's also probably because it's work lol. But judging from her lyrics is another totally different thing, she's real sensitive and has a broad point of view in general. The most important thing is that she pretty much understands everything I'm trying to convey.

Well I also think Ayu has a bad temper lol... but then again I don't know what she's thinking and feeling, I don't know the real "Ayu" either

I'm INFJ, I believe. (or was it INFP? Both?)

I took a 'test' pretending as though I was Ayu and I got ENFJ as the result. Some of the answers were sort of hard to determine since for some of them... I'm not entirely sure how Ayu would answer.

I think it depends on if she is at work or just being herself but with her career they do blend into one another quite a lot. I think she is probably strict at work to get her vision across and to make sure everyone is doing what they should. Outside, she seems sweet and funny. She laughs a lot in outake photos etc and does make time for fans. She seemed very sensitive and introverted at the beginning of her career.

The E vs I thing, she seems to ride the line. She certainly could be ENFJ as truehappiness points out, however. Without really knowing how intuitive Ayu is, it's hard to tell. But this statement on the link he shared is just dead-on as far as how I perceive ayu: "ENFJ's are so externally focused that it's especially important for them to spend time alone. This can be difficult for some ENFJs, because they have the tendency to be hard on themselves and turn to dark thoughts when alone. Consequently, ENFJs might avoid being alone, and fill their lives with activities involving other people." Which would explain the E/I conflict, for sure. Introspection doesn't have to exist exclusively of extroversion - especially when you're as intelligent and self-aware as Ayu indeed seems to be.

Also, she does hate hierarchy and rules unless she agrees with those in charge. She puts alot of faith into the others on her team to take care of things for her, for instance (which she didn't used to do, but grew to be comfortable with it), and she seems to be fine with the "rules" society puts on people in the USA, but not the comparatively more extreme rules of conformity in Japan. She insists in being an individual, even when interested in & focused on others around her, which is certainly not unusual for an ESFJ or an ENFJ.
