I have to really agree that Hiragii was definitely the BEST example given in this thread. The verses sounds as if it's gonna be the best DAI song I would have listened but when the chorus comes, you are already expecting something awesome and it just spoils everything. What a climax killer LOL

Not to mention the teaser PV originally shown was only just under 2 minutes, so you'd think the full version would really build up towards the last chorus......but then it just doesn't o_O'!

About Ayu's chorus: I like them (mostly) some of them are not perfect but still she does it way much better than many others...

Namie Amuro - the SPEED STAR
rina aiuchi - ALRIGHT
Every Little Thing - Shapes of Love (awesome verses, you would expect the chorus to be a climax, but the climax are actually the verses because they're just too awesome)

i think easy breezy is a good example of this too...without that aNNoYing bleepy sound and the lame "i'm japaneesy" thing the song is actually okay

Hmm I just remembered, Nami Tamaki's Believe was another good example (to me anyways). It sounds like two different people composed the chorus and the verses...the verses were okay but the chorus sounds just so..out of place and unnatural. It sounded more like a bridge or something rather when I first heard it (and was expecting a good chorus to follow up) but then it just fell flat.

End of the World has a nice chorus, but crappy verses.

Rina Aiuchi - Boom-Boom-Boom ... oh man, I love this song, but the chorus doesn't fit in with the rest of the song, it's too happy sounding
Rina Aiuchi - Himawari ... this whole song is just weird. The tune she sings clashes with the background music, and it's just a mess when it hits the chorus. Probably the worst chorus in any song I've ever heard -.-
Ayumi Hamasaki - Everywhere Nowhere ... the chorus also made this song to happy sounding
Ayumi Hamasaki - July 1st ... the chorus just grates -.-

The chorus of Merzbow's 'Electric salad' is pretty weak. As is the chorus to Napalm Death's 'You suffer (but why?)'. Not to mention 'The Ballad Of Jimi Hendrix' by S.O.D.'s chorus.

move - U.S.A.

Weirdest thing I heard all my life, the music is great, the chanting is bad. I'm guessing they are stereotyping the working class men in the U.S. who share characteristics with the Village People. Like those guys in that movie Gung Ho.

I love real me, game, hanabi and july 1st!! I agree with the easy breezy thing though I really like that song but the japaneesy bit makes me cringe.

w-inds. - Paradox

well, the chorus is amazing... but it has nothing to do with the verses of the songs... cuz the parts of the songs sound like if they where different songs mixed into one song... and it's the only w-inds song i've ever listened -__-U
