This is kinda random, but I wanted to share with you guys the uchiwa I did last year when I went to Arena Tour 2015. I was waving it so hard when Ayu and the dancers get closer to me hahah KO saw it and wave back to me. It was a nice moment. lol

I was just on Itunes (Japan version) and noticed that A Complete is #3 on the Top Albums chart.
Does anyone know why?

Was not expecting it would be on sale, I don't think I have seen it discounted before.
I find it strange but also impressive that having an album discounted could sent it to the top 10. When albums go on sale in the US Itunes, they don't chart there. It is always new and popular releases only.

Well, I think releases that contains instrumental tracks and its price is cheaper are definitely new ones. But why keep doubles and not replacing them? Good question!

I can't really recall full picture of her old catalog in our iTunes. There were actually many "incomplete albums" like they are providing ayu-mi-x 6 (instrumental version) right now.

And Ayumi Hamasaki/浜崎あゆみ mess belongs to Ayumi Hamasaki page anyway. Avex's flaw, I guess. Namie Amuro page has the same problem f.ex. in terms of artist name.

I kind of like that she doesn't contour. I don't contour because I have the wrong face shape for it and would prefer to work with the face shape I have instead of against it.

I always watch this Youtube Channel called "Ask Japanese" and I was watching their new video and someone mentions Ayu:

I finally bought A ONE. It was my first time hearing it and I have to say that I really like The Show Must Go On. The way the effects on Ayu's voice when she's singing "the show must go on" create a corridor of vocals is really cool. : - ) And WARNING is catchy and Zutto... is classically beautiful.

I think it's funny that Ayu still sells more copies and tours more often than many of the artists these people mentioned and they still have no idea she's "still around." Sometimes I think people simply choose to ignore her existence for some reason.

I think by the time an artist has reached a certain amount of fame/exposure/reputation, a lot of people who didn't grow up with or pay attention to her debut years will automatically make their mind up about them and will just consider them outdated or not to their tastes. For example, I pretty much do (did?) that with Madonna and Britney Spears until the last few months when I realised I had all but discarded their entire discography without really thinking about it. I'm still slowly making my way through their back catalogue to actually form my own opinion on them.

I find this is quite common in general with people, so it doesn't surprise me that much when I hear of Ayu getting the same sort of treatment. She was (is) huge in Japan and dominated an entire J-Pop era, and hasn't reinvented herself since to front a new trend, like Namie Amuro. I also think she is generally disinterested in attempting to build a second wave of popularity for herself and is content with her current flexibility in organising her own workaholic schedule. It comes across that way, anyway

Very nice. I must ask because I am always curious when I see these, where did the letters come from? Did you draw them and cut them out? Because all the ones I see have such pristine and perfectly proportionate lettering, I always wonder how they get them to be so perfect. Are they stickers? Did you purchase them? If so, how did you get a hold of the Japanese syllabaries?
