Going back to Impact's and Delirium-Zero's comments, I really was disappointed with the evolution and M remixes. In fact, the only M remix that I was actually impressed with was the Acoustic Orchestra version and now the A BALLADS version. All the other ones are horrible and completely extract the beauty of the song. As for evolution, the mixes will never be "decent" because of the song's nature. It's difficult to do superb remixes of a rock song such as evolution and still make it somewhat resemble the original. It would have been interesting to hear an AO version of evolution with a piano accompaniment in the background, but it was left out from the Ayumix 4 bundle.

I was actually impressed with a few mixes from Ayumix 4 NSMM, mainly M, SEASONS, and I am. I still can't understand why someone would remix old material to make it "hipper" and match with new material in Ayumix 4? It was a bit of a turnoff similar to how A BALLADS was a bit of a turnoff, but it was still in the "okay" range.

Because of all the changes Avex and Ayu are making, I have no idea what to expect next. RAINBOW (the album) wasn't as great as expected, A BALLADS lacked originality in song choice, Cyber Trance 2 lacked originality in song choice also, and no Real me/RAINBOW single. Releases that are supposed to be done according to what tradition has set are no longer occuring. Instead, it's just random ideas that pop up from the Avex execs -- use the same songs for every single release.

Maybe Ayu is losing her creativity. Maybe Avex is losing it's mind. Whatever it is, it's easy to see that the future won't be as bright as it was during the good ol' days of Duty and I am. . .
