I think dokidokisuru meant to type "12cm CD" instead of 12".

Oh, yeah, I did~ actually, I didn't really know the difference... I'm not good with measuring things ;_; 12 inches is much too big for a CD, isn't it? =x

12 inches is the size of a vinyl record. the term 12" is used as a substitute for "analog" or "record" or "LP" when talking about them. Usually that's what they use on online CD stores where it says the format of a release.

REALLY
uhhh....no "is this LOVE?" is clearly a DOUBLE A-SIDE single. that is y it was included in the title with a "/" seperating the 2 song names n not a "c/w".

Maxi singles just mean there are more than 1 title song in the cd.

Moments, CAROLS r examples of a "CD SINGLE"
STEP you/is this LOVE?, fairyland c/w alterna, HEAVEN (c/w Will) r all examples of "MAXI SINGLES"

n sum ppl think that INSPIRE is a double a-side single but w/e

But B-sides wouldnt come with an instumental... So I would think that Will will be on the album.

Error... Moments, CAROLS are not singles...are maxi singles

A maxi single or maxi-single is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks

The term came into wide use in the 1980s, where it usually referred to 12" vinyl singles with 3 or 4 tracks. A typical practice was to release a 2-song single on 7" vinyl and cassette, and a maxi-single on 12" vinyl.

.

uhhh no.

a single is a cd that has only 1 original song
ie: Moments:
1 Moments(Original Mix)
2 Moments(Acoustic Piano Version)
3 Moments(Flying humanoid Mix)
4 Moments(Original Mix -Instrumental
-)
Moments is a CD-Single cos it really only has 1 real song, Moments. n this is also y its called a "single". same thing w/CAROLS:
1 CAROLS ″Original Mix″
2 CAROLS ″Criminal Tribal Mix″
3 CAROLS ″Hammond B-3 Whisper″
4 CAROLS ″Original Mix″(Instrumental)

only 1 original song-->CAROLS.

Maxi-Singles r CD's that have more than 1 original songs
ie: fairyland c/w alterna:
1 fairyland (original mix)
2 alterna (original mix)
3 STEP you (remix)
4 fairyland (remix)
5 fairland (instrumental)
6 alterna (instrumental)

fairyland is a Maxi-Single, cos there is more than 1 original (original doesnt count remixes) song, fairyland & alterna. that is y theres a "Maxi" added in front of the word "single".

the number of "ORIGINAL" tracks don't care IN A MAXI SINGLE....the number of track list is the matter...

"Moments" is a maxi single like "Boys & Girls"....
i been working with maxi single for 10 years

i have the full collection of singles and maxi singles of MADONNA (75 cds) and she has maxi singles with 12 remixes of the same original track...and that's is a maxi single....IN SOME CASE "EP" (EXTENDED PLAY)
