^i dont think there was supposed to b a winner in that show. i think the purpose was to just to invite all the best artists in japan n perform in that show. also, the gage where the artists' popularity is w/which age group, gender etc.

says: Otsuka Ai reaches #1 for the 2nd time in a row [album]. 1st wk sales reach her personal high of ~33.5万 units. it says 334,812 on the oricon weekly chart.

therefore, if it was truly 300,000 people surveyed; the oricon article wouldve wrote: 30万人. but since they wrote 300万人 it is 3,000,000.
