ayu is actually very popular in hongkong, u can see lots of girls dressin up like her in the streets, and uraayu is actually taken in hongkong, and i believe shez popular in china too, else they wouldn't ask her to be the spokeperson of the 5th Season Drink, ayu's pay for a cm is VERY expensive u know~

so i'd say ayu is popular in many parts of asia outside of japan
