The song actually reminds me the style of "Angel Song", and "Fairyland". The song is not bad, but not too appealing.

I love BLUE BIRD. Me and my 2 year old niece just listened to it for the first time on the radio. And we both agree it is super-cool.

I like Blue Bird but not that much, I still cannot decide where's the 'climax' of the song, maybe it's on the reff. but still i can't dance with that.
For me 'climax' is time when the song gotten into you and make you feel so....
I cannot write this in words, like when I listen fairyland, I dance etc

^You should wait for the single and wait for the song to sink in properly, did you feel the 'climax' of fairyland the first time you heard it ^_^?

Thanks for saying this, so much,
because I think what I wanted to express is that this is not like some of Ayumi's songs. It's one of her summer songs, and its more of a feel-good thrill than a storyline, so to speak.

Fairyland definitely had a climax, I think, but I think also because it had sad elements to it. I think BLUE BIRD is just an all-around fun song. No real guidelines, just a fun beat

Yes fun beats definitely!!!
It's kinda weird on the first time I heard it, not like fairyland, that I just started dancing on the reff.
BTW i used fairyland as atheme song for my grade beach-party and they have such fun!!! he he he

Blue bird is happy, but still maybe i should listen to it more so i could enter the song's emotions

I really like BLUE BIRD. When I first listened to it, it didn't hit me and I felt like it's too much like fairyland. But listening it again I liked it even more and it really starts to grow on me. ^__^ I mean, it's not a bad song at all, but it just doesn't make me go 'wow'. But it's a nice and cute summer song and I like it more everytime I listen to it.

I belive I'm quite alone about it, but from the small pieces of BLUE BIRD I've heard it really do make me go 'wow' and other random words connected to happienss. But then, since previously, HONEY and ANGEL'S SONG also have big places in my heart.

I think it sounds happier than ANGEL'S SONG but not as powerfull as HONEY *thinks AT2k5 performance*. Well, I've barely listened to it so it's a bit early to judge it, but those are my thoughts at the moment.

The preview kinda sucked and the full song didnt really get to me at first.

But at second listen the song is amazing. I like the weird musicky parts from 2:10 to 2:35 a lot. Great song, very light and summery and breezy. Hope the PV has oceans and all that stuff.

The music is a winner, just the melodies aren't really memorable.

I don't agree, I've caught myself singing 'na na na na' from the chorus melody at random ...

Haha, cool ^_____________^.

I want to listen to it soooooooo baaaaaad... but the preview version was so crappy quality that I don't want to listen to it :/... I can't wait for the first live performances! I hope someone will record them with a high audio bitrate so that you can rip the sound stream with decent quality.

^ totally agree. when i heard the preview, i was like "is this a song by morning musume"? but then after listening to the full song, i find the tune rather catchy and its really suitable for summer.

I didn't like the preview and thought this might be too much like fairyland, but it's a good summer song. I like the chorus well enough, but the music box-style beginning and the music during the other parts of the song are even nicer. Not a classic but a pleasant surprise.

At first, I thought the song was kind of bland, but after reading the lyrics, I like more.

it's lovely ^^...though at first listen, I did feel it didn't sound that special~... much like fairyland not tune was but...blah~ ...musicall~ it wasn't very "speical". However it did feel more umm..."magical" than fairyland whereas I thought fairyland had more "summer feel" XD...
but after more listens, I thought it was GGGGGGGREAT!!!

I guess that's how anti-ayu people think her songs get more and more ...blah~ crap etc..~ because they already think it's bad from the very start...

but that I guess it's what everyone does with other artists too XP

I agree with various members saying that it's nothing spectacular. I suppose I like it because I love fresh summer pop songs but I do agree that it doesn't shine out like the previous summer classics such as July 1st but I don't think it should be classified as a bad song. As some mentioned some parts of the song make you appreciate this song and make it really enjoyable.

However I find this song an improvement from fairyland and I'm enjoying the lyrics. I am hoping the pv will be interesting enough to attract attention.
