I had no idea that they'd be so open to auditions...

I'm going to try my luck someday. Once I get my band formed up though, so far it's going at snail pace. Oh, and not forgetting to continue working on my Japanese too.

Meanwhile, good luck to you Jaro! Hopefully you'll become AAA's newest member! (I don't know why but I always thought you looked like an AAA-type)

if not avex, i'd go with sony.

i wouldn't want to sign any contract with a company that claims all copyright to my material especially if i write it.

I wanna take part in the audition also!!

I remember I was in Japan 3 weeks ago and I saw the audition CM... And one AAA's song was playing at the back lol. I almost screamed at that point. XD

Does this audition be held every 2 year? 'Cos I do wanna take part in after I finish my uni... (My uni years just starts) But first I need to learn more Japanese... (>_<)

So they do accept demos from us? Ahh sadly I never compose any songs and ony do cover songs. Prolly they'll just throw it away. XD

I don't think there's any record label that doesn't do that, unless you just copyright them under your own name. Besides everything has a price, certainly a mainstream music career does.

Every company will require copyright of your material. Otherwise, they can't use it in any way (including making your album). If the record company doesn't, the publisher will. A lot of record companies these days have their own publishing companies, anyway, so many times it's the same thing.

While you can't really avoid surrenduring some copyright, what you can do is negotiate reversion clauses and such, which can give copyright back to you after a certain amount of time.

I'm gonna audition for avex once my Japanese improves and I can move there. Right now i go to a performing arts high school so I'm getting good experience. I took dance for about 6 years, and acted for years. I just started singing also. I'm gonna be a part of avex !

Seems orenji did so good that avex didn't want to let him go after the audition. I hope he will remember us when he release his million selling debut album.
