All I know is that being a picky butt about what Ayu will release next is not going to make you like her more than you already do. x.x

It's best to just be excited that there's still something new to listen to. Just imagine how DAI fans reacted.. no more new DAI.. no more. All they had was their albums and that was it.

Cherish each release as if it was her last, because one day, sadly, that will come true.

I'm so going to like, angst on that day.

O_O I don't even want to think about that day!
Well, for me, when I became a fan of Ayu I thought that she was already retired XD.. this was just after the release of MY STORY. Sometimes I would go on message boards and there was so many rumors and badtalking going on I was just like "O_O" so I just listened to the music I downloaded from Ares and that was it... but later after STEP you/is this LOVE? 's release, I realised that she WAS still making music and lots of it! I bought the "fairyland" single as soon as it was released because I was so excited that she was still making music XD.. and I have been ever since!

^Must've been horrible to think she actually quit o_o;! But on the other hand it must've been a huge kick seeing that she was still releasing stuff .

The appears PV was filmed in the USA... BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT WAS FILMED IN A JAPANESE STUDIO AND AYU WAS JUST STANDING IN FRONT OF A JAPANESE-MADE GREEN SCREEN.
lmao

Hmm, couldn't figure out anything else to say .

I think Ayu's always been a fan of America. X3

I wonder if America will ever be a fan of Ayu :3

One thing is ver unique about Ayu though because unlike all of the other pop stars, she really started with no musical background and no real ambition to become a pop star. And now she's.. the way she is. :3

XD I was scared that I sounded too attitude-y/sarcastic >.< Its so odd when I do things like that and then people actually respond to what I said, thinking I was serious

Yes.. I remember reading that she'd gone deaf in one ear, that she stopped making music.. a few things about a pregnancy.. an odd thing I read when I was a n00b was that she yelled at handicapped people in a concert and then people were mad at her. XD .. but I was just like "Um.. oh well! I like her music!"

As a side note, I think that people's criticism of Ayu's music is severely misplaced. A lot of people don't recognise that the difference between music that is actually bad and a musical direction Ayu takes that they personally don't like. If you listen to all her albums and singles, from A Song For XX to the present, it's quite obvious that the quality of her music definitly has not deteriorated. The only time I get offended when people critisice Ayu is when they say the quality of her music has declined. Whether you like her music or not, you have to admitt that it is evident that all of her catalogue took an immense amount of effort and polish to create. All of Ayu's work is truly excellent, regardless of whether you personally like it or not, and I'm not just saying that as an Ayu fan. I think that you can dislike a song but still have an appreciation for it. Even the songs by Ayu I'm not too fond still have many good, redeeming qualities about them. Thus, although they might not be suited to my personal taste, I still have an appreciation for them because liking them is perfectly justifiable. If you are an open-minded fan that is receptive to change, I'm sure you can atleast develop an appreciation for any of Ayu's work.

You are so right.

Ayu has something for everyone in her albums even though sometimes people have their dislikes.

I'm sure that she won't disappoint with the next album, as they never focus on one genre. :]

Rock songs here we come! Ballads, HOOO!!

No Doubt - I completely agree! I used to DESPISE the song "winding road" but then I read the lyrics... there was a line that really moved me, and now I love the song.. Whenever I listen to the song I just keep thinking of that line in my head =P

I very nearly did, it's very hard to judge when you don't know a person, but I sort of understood you were being sarcastic in the end, after looking at some of your other recent posts .

Seriously, is there gold flowing out of your fingers, is your mind sharp as a diamond drill and your way with words as safe as a vault? How can you speak my exact thoughts so nonchalantly? I'm really... out of words .

Well she has said before:

"Who do you listen to?
Smashing Pumpkins. Joan Osborne. I loved her song in [the movie] Vanilla Sky, so I bought the soundtrack but it wasn't on it. I asked everyone about it, and finally my friend in Hawaii told me who it was. Also Michelle Branch. She's big in Japan now, and really young. Oh, and Kid Rock. If anything I lean toward his kind of music. Like a mix of things—rock, grunge, rap. "

I don't see why she wouldn't sneak in a little rock every now and then ;D
