I think Exodus is a very original piece of music.
Just compare 2004's Exodus with 2006's Loose by Nelly Furtado. Both Exodus and Loose sound like full of demo songs, like demo tapes - raw and unfinished, random samples, messy sounding. But it works today for Nelly thanks to promotion and she's-already-known factor. The lyrics aren't really that important, since you can pull really stupid stuff as long as it's catchy. Besides she had no flaws in Exodus, Hotel Lobby, Kremlin Dusk. The rest is just... non-conformist, I'd say. That album should be re-issued and re-promoted - everything all over again, IMO. It could have been done better and I'm sure it would have worked.
