Maybe her time in the limelight is up, llike the thing that happened in her last album. Pon De Replay got all the attention but subsequent singles did horribly. Also like Ciara, a gigantic flop after 3 mega-hits "Goodies", "1,2,Step" and "Oh".
I would LOVE this to happen. Hopefully more Adult/AC stuff gets on radio. Or UK music. Natasha's "Single" flopped considerably. Deservedly so, that song is pretty generic despite being catchy. Extremely foolish not to release "The One That Got Away". The success it had on the dance charts should have been enough to let her know it was an amazing choice for a single.

Rihanna's debut was practically perfect (except the
Pon de Replay remix screwing up the atmosphere
Now I Know left), and
A Girl Like Me is cool (but enough with the midtempo, generic soundalike reggae songs, girl. One is enough. No, really, ONE IS ENOUGH), but her voice is a bit reedy and emotionless. I'm hoping it'll grow better as she gets older and practices more.
I do like the Usher/Mariah sound, BUT it also bugs me that practically every #1 on the Hot 100 tends to be either rap, hip-hop, urban, or R&B - or the horrid generic American Idol debut single (I love Idol, but the winner debut singles suck). Shakira and Rihanna managed to avoid this (because
S.O.S. was straight-up dance pop), so did Daniel Powter and James Blunt... but... I dunno. Change it up.
Personally, I'd love for her to release
I Bruise Easily. Or
If You're Gonna....
