Do as you please."

:p I mean, come on. The three single trend only started in 2003. Before that it was crazysingletime x.x

It would probably appear to be like that since she's been following that pattern lately..

But then again EVERYONE [please do not reply with that which I do not speak of] at avex usually does 3 singles before an album if they release steadily.. :3

Well, I think her contract is a bit more specific than "do whatever", if she decided to sit down, eat and sleep for 6 months, they SHOULD be able to fire her. Or fine her. Or something like that. But I think that she probably have a more loose contract when it comes to who decides her image, tour etc. I don't know how things like f.ex. pregnancy would be tolerated though, or if it's even mentioned in her contract (and YES such things may be in a contract. =P)

Well, add ...as long as you earn money in larger amounts than shovel-wise. and they should be on the safe side.

I'm pretty 110% sure that pregnancy and marriage is mentioned in her contract.

I honestly don't think Ayu has even been able to sleep/eat/be lazy for 6 months since she was 18.. :|
And by 'do whatever' I meant musically.. not... habit..-ly... LOL

i definitely want more singles. i am disappointed about the fact there are two singles from the album. but immel is right, due to the sales drop, ayu is no longer avex's main income. there is less point to invest a lot on ayu because there is a risk of not earning the money back.

I think that due to AT06 and a-nation '06 Ayu will have earned more money for avex than any other of their artists.

The rumor about 2005 was that Kuu earned avex more money, although I don't think we ever had any confirmation about it.

It's live performances that give the absolutely most money, and no-one can top Ayu on them.

I actually doubt Ayu gets a noticeably smaller part of avex's budget than any other of their artists.

she ran out of creative juices.... and hey! MY STORY had only 3 singles.. so it's ok.. JEWEL is still coming out.. so that make it 3 singles too.
