Well I mean, he's her dancer... they've worked together for years... it's not really "surprising" that this sort of thing would happen.

Plus, they're only dating. Marriage is much more of a headline than "Ayu and dancer, who've known each other for many years and have a long history with each other, are now officially dating." lol

The comments on Yahoo are mostly just attacking Ayu for the sake of attacking her, like most articles on the internet. Negativity is always going to be there, and there -are- a lot of people who dislike Ayu or at least like to bash her. Things like "Dating even though can only love herself lol" "She'll probably break up with him again pretty quickly"

PS I can't get over the picture Yahoo chose to feature for Ayu. I mean really.

I remember they always used to use this one shot from her D-Snap promo that was extremely unflattering, hahaha. I wonder if they go through her shots that are usable in the public domain and try to find the ones where she looks the most off.

Much of the reason she gets put in such a negative light in japanese press is they see far more of this stuff from her and her staff than we do. Remember all the leaked stories from staff the articles referred to in the past. The former japanese model sleeping with her at a spa although their release soon after was breaking it to the fans about her and Mannie. The affair with a korean jewelry designer. The list goes on and on and I'd bet those stories really had an inside source just as the news papers said they did. And this story is getting the hype they were after and there is no effort to keep the supposed private life private.

I personally don't get all the cries of "publicity stunt" etc... Sure it may seem to have come out at a convenient time, but what's to say it isn't genuine?

Also, reading a few of the comments here, since when was Ayu ever an "idol" in the strict sense of the word?

I think alot of negativity comes from this:

- She married Mannie, but never registered it in Japan. This means that, in the eyes of Japanese law, she has never been married, giving the impression that marriage isn't an important concept to her.
- Both relationships started off with PV filming, adding to the "just a publicity stunt" conspiracy.
- Maro is still married and undergoing divorce. The wife knows about ayu and is using it in her defense.

With Austrian model ex-husband (31), whom she had divorced on New Year’s Day without ever officially registering the marriage, ayu started off casting him as her husband in a PV, which then led to real marriage. Will this repeat again?… However, A-san is still a married man. In 2005, he had married dancer B-san (43), and the two are currently involved in a drawn-out divorce process, and the name “Hamasaki Ayumi” is being thrown about in the judicial proceedings.

For example, the wife has accused A-san of “hiding the fact that he is married, because ayu got jealous”, and ayu’s name has come up repeatedly during several occasions.

It's hard to say that the situation is the same as when Mannie was cast for Virgin Road since he was chosen specifically for that part as opposed to being a part of Ayu's dance team which Maro has been for the last 5 or so years and has been in quite a few PVs since then?

How long has Maro been in the process of getting divorced? Most people weren't even sure if he was married for a while and only now we're finding out all these details about his life.

Maro is still married?! omg? what? I dunno what to think of this if this was true.

and PR stunt or not, this was bound to get more negative comments than positive so what kind of stunt is this? =.= i just feel they decided to say it so that they can have a easier time in Paris and also just for their fans to know. Honestly, there isn't a need for the public to judge in the first place. and I doubt they care anyway.

can i expect a You & Me ~part 2~ PV in one of the new songs, Wake me up, Sweet Scar, or Snowy kiss? it sounds to me Snowy kiss has the most potential. You & Me (summer) --> Snowy kiss (winter).
