I don't think the person is necessary "loaded", his or her collection is like... pretty basic, apart from buying heaps of doubles.

Buying as the things come out you end up with a very big pile of CDs lol I wouldn't be surprised really.

And there's not many especial things in this collection, or super rare items, I wouldn't pay that much for it.

To be honest as a collector, the pic totally amazed me lol I wish to have the same Ayu collection.
But the price is totally.. omg too expensive . The last time I have counted how much it worth my whole Ayu collection so far, it was like 632 €. But it can't be compared as that guy's one because it's still incomplete. And I don't think I'll be able to complete it neither. And it's really too much for the whole collection imo.
If I were super-duper-rich I'd totally buy it lol. And sell the extra copies.
I never get who buy multiple copies of the same thing :| unless they're first press and with different goodies, like (m)u.

So i was bored and since I was wondering how much all this would cost by itself if bought upon release, I added everything up:

Ayumi Singles (everything): 118968 yen = 1516.29 USD
Ayumi Albums (everything): 174658 yen = 2226.10 USD
5 DVD's : 12390 = 157.91
Grand total = 3900.30

I couldnt add the other stuff cause i dont know how much that runs for, but all those prices are from the avex website... So it looks like its not really a good deal.. lol
But, i still think if i had that kind of cash to blow I would buy it..

(but right now, I thinking in the back of my mind.. I have most of the albums... Look how much money i spent! X.X)

^ I don't think it's a reasonable price. It's 1400$ more expensive than the original price. I know there are some limited items like the first singles or the first press of NL usb but 1400$ more? No way! xDD And I have 6 cents in my wallet hahahaha

Yeah, I think $5,299 USD is way too much to ask for that collection, even though it is very large. The sad part is, if I had that much money, I might buy it. HA!

I get my parents to buy me ayu stuff for christmas and birthdays etc lol..But apart from that, buying a whole collection and not working for it is stupid, also, you dont have anything to look forward to if you buy it all at once like that. I enjoy waiting for the parcels to arrive for each individual Ayu item I purchase.

It's not if you add Yesasia's price to it and maybe shipping fees for other items, I think the seller is still losing money.

I only own one CD, and a magazine that I found in a Toronto store back in '04. I begged the shop owner to let me buy it. Haha. It was in horrible shape but it has Ayu on it. And that's all. Everything else is *shame* bootlegged from Chinatown. Oh yeah, I did buy Countdown 05-06 but it doesn't work on my DVD player, thus why I buy bootlegs.

So I have three official Ayu items. Awesome collection.

the picture look amazing but its quite overpriced and kind of ridiculous

surreal rainbow--> this person was selling the complete koda kumi collection , now the complete ayu collection and i m pretty sure he or she have a lot more to sell .... maybe not loaded but at least have pretty good income .

I LOVE AYU......... buuuut, i wouldn't collect everything of hers. and even i was a millionaire, i wouldn't buy this b/c... it'd just collect dust. it'd be nice to have, but i realized, even the stuff i have of Ayu i rarely touch. it comes a nuisance to have. i get what i can and what i think is necessary... though what is necessary nowadays? but if i lose my home and crap, yes i'll sell it to save my arse.

i say, whatever your point is, yes you never know if you'll give up or lose interest in collecting certain things. and what this dude is doing... i think i'd do the same. i'm not a materialistic person, so i won't die if i don't have the next Ayu thing. if someone is currently avid about collecting, let them buy it, by impulse or not. don't leave any impulse unaddressed ;P and if that person may tire of it, sell it! we change, our pursuits change, our spaces change, so we do what we want with what we've earned or have (that excludes human hearts, o don't break hearts, dear children).

this is cool, btw. interesting to see someone do this. shipping will be a pain in the arse O_O and concerning the price... i dunno how he came to that... but for such a collection, aaaah i think it's reasonable. *shrugs*
