Memorial address was similar to the Sweetbox covers, as she wrote the lyrics to it and used the composition of a song in existence. Her only real cover so far has been SS on A BALLADS.

ayu's GREEN chorus is in a higher key than this song. the melody is somewhat similar, but after listening to it a couple times, it isn't exactly the same. in my opinion, i don't think it's a cover.

don't you think we would have heard something about it being a cover, earlier, if this were the case?

Right, I forgot teens. Her only covers are SS on A BALLADS and teens on Startin'/Born To Be...

Memorial address has Ayu lyrics, but it's another band's composition. Bold & Delicious, Pride, Ladies Night, Beautiful Day, rainy day, and In The Corner I believe are all Sweetbox compositions with Ayu lyrics.

Because of her lack of covers, I doubt from the start that GREEN is a cover =/

I think some of you are confused as to what a cover is. Just because it doesn't sound similar doesn't mean it's not a cover. Really the lyrics are what matters. Shiina Ringo did a cover of Frankie Valli's Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You and it sounds NOTHING like the original. It's completely different. I can't hear the song but if the lyrics are the same then it's a cover. If the BGM is the same then it's a sample. Or it could be just inspired by the song.

I can't hear the song I have no clue. But I'm always thinking the glass is half full so IMO if the song is a cover that means GREEN is a B Side song and there's an even better song coming our way.

Indeed it could be a cover, or maybe they borrowed the melody just like MA, but if it's not o_o, then that would be scary o_o. This would explain why it sounds so chinese

in the LUMIX CM, she has this chinese style top, and in a chinese tea cup.
maybe this is a big step for Avex to step into the asia market.

just like B&D, doing a cover of a native song,
which makes it easier for fans of those areas to accept such a tune.

Exactly is a very nice move by ayu releasing what it could be a cover of a chinese song while she's entering the market with wacoal, very cool move.

Plus we dun even know if GREEN is the B-side of ayu's next single... we got it so early since they probably had the melody and just works the lyrics

LOL, this song doesn't even sound similar to GREEN, at least not from those 30 secs we've heard! Whoever "discovered" this, should get a life.

Also there is a huge difference between SAMPLING a song and COVERING a song. And even if the composition was similar it's not enough to say it's a cover.

teens was originally done for TRF's cover album which they released as a bonus to their studio album Lif-emotion ^^ ayu was just one of the many who covered their song for that album.
